On Christmas Eve our assistant development director Anika Day joined Chris Hextall from MM Management Services and over 80 volunteers at Greenmount Projects offices to pack Christmas gifts into 34 vans and cars, ready to be delivered to more than 300 families across Wigan. Each family received a festive package containing: 🎁An assortment of toys for each child in the household and selection boxes, with the gifts generously donated by The Brick, Daffodils Dreams C.I.C., and their supporters, alongside contributions from local businesses and institutions across Wigan. 🧺A food hamper, packed and donated by Compassion in Action. 💷 A money voucher to help with winter essentials, kindly provided by Wigan Council. It was an incredibly inspiring and humbling event to be involved in, well done to everyone involved in this fantastic project.

Many thanks to Project Director, Alec Bailey of Galliford Try who led our Civil Engineering Lecturer, Martin Gilmore and Employer Engagement Officer, Martin Banks on a tour of the Wigan Galleries site this week.   This followed an initial discussion around potential dates in the New Year where the opportunity for some exciting work placements could arise for some of our T level learners who are very interested in the development.   After providing an overview of the project; where they’re up to and what stages are next, we will now work together to get the Galliford Try team in to do a guest lecture focusing on career pathways within the industry and to potentially select our learners for future work placements, which would provide a fantastic learning experience.   #socialvalue #construction #civilengineering Wigan Council Cityheart Hannah W. Stockport Interchange has created a legacy of community investment, skills and opportunities. Opened by Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham in March, Stockport Interchange has delivered a new state-of-the-art transport interchange, town centre park and 196 residential apartments for Transport for Greater Manchester and Stockport Council. Last week the team attended Property Week Student Awards in London. As a developer working in the student accommodation space for a number of years, it was great to celebrate with the award nominees and winners, thanks for a fantastic event. 👏🏽

Another award win for Stockport Interchange at the RTPI Planning Awards last night, with the scheme taking home the Silver Jubilee Cup - congrats to all of the team 🍾
