To cap off a fantastic MSt in Social Innovation residential week at the start of December, we had a great cohort dinner at Wolfson College on the Thursday evening (photos supplied by students from the cohort). We then ended the week with Dr Michelle Darlington, who ran workshops on essay skills and thinking through drawing to get the students thinking about academic writing in a new way! We started the second day of the MSt in Social Innovation Cohort 2024/26 residential week with a focus on social theories, before two guest speaker sessions in the afternoon. First up were Lucy Caines and Jonas Spengler, both PhD candidates at Cambridge Judge Business School, who led a great session on speculative fiction and planning for distant futures. We finished the day with Prof. Bill DeMarco, Director of Innovation Development for Air University (AUiX), discussing social intrapreneurship in large organisations. Thank you to all our guest speakers! Wonderful to see MSt in #socialinnovation alumna Sandra Ool featured in this Financial Times article looking at evolving business curriculum around the 'S' in #ESG. Sandra's award winning dissertation shared her research on the working-class experience in “elite” institutions. Her research has been brought to life through her work on social mobility.
