Philanthropy and climate... I often get asked what my job is or what Quadrature Climate Foundation does. I actually had the pleasure to talk about that with Bryony Worthington for the Cleaning Up Podcast A great conversation starting with my journey from fusion research to climate philanthropy (and a few thoughts on where fusion is at). We then spent some time discussing QCF's approach and why we fund topics which can be controversial like Solar Radiation Modification. We then discussed a topic I covered recently in my TED Conferences talk: the complexity and messiness of the energy transition and the social and political challenges of managing winners and losers. Only problem with that discussion: you have to suffer my french accent... 🇫🇷 #climate #philanthropy #energytransition #energy
