Building Prosperity & Opportunity: Improving work, wellbeing and community in former coalfield areas.
About us
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is the leading regeneration organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life in Britain’s coalfield communities. We are a charitable company, governed by a board of trustees with teams deployed across England, Scotland and Wales and have been supporting these communities since 1999. Our mission: “To champion and strengthen coalfield communities, generate resources to respond to their needs and deliver programmes that make a positive and lasting difference.” We are a social enterprise and deliver services and programmes that make a positive difference in our communities. These activities are supported using our own funds or by delivering contracts for external partners. We are a social investor and develop opportunities that deliver social impacts but also a return on investment to the Trust so that we can continue to support our communities.

Roedd ein tîm Coalfields Regeneration Trust yn falch o gwrdd â’r Prif Weinidog Eluned Morgan yng Nghynhadledd Plaid Lafur Cymru. Rydym wedi mwynhau partneriaeth gref gyda Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government ers 25 mlynedd ac yn edrych ymlaen at drafod cyfleoedd i gyflwyno ein model adeiladu cyfoeth cymunedol yng Nghymru yn y dyfodol agos. Byddai hyn yn caniatáu inni greu swyddi a thwf economaidd yng Nghymru tra’n mynd i’r afael ag anghenion cymunedau’r meysydd glo.

Our Coalfields Regeneration Trust team were pleased to meet First Minister Eluned Morgan at the Welsh Labour Party Conference. We’ve enjoyed a strong partnership with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government for 25 years and are looking forward to discussing opportunities to roll out our community wealth building model in Wales in the near future. This would allow us to create jobs and economic growth in Wales while addressing the needs of coalfield communities.
