About us
There are around 16,000 trading businesses in Croydon and many charities, all doing great work individually. But we don't all come together often enough to hear about all that great work, and how we can help and support each other. By developing a monthly networking event – Connecting Croydon - local Croydon businesses and charities can come together, connect, learn, share, champion and promote best practises. Regular contact with local fellow businesses and charities helps us all to foster a great community approach. Where we all work together towards a great and confident Croydon. Local businesses should attend to raise your profile and network with your peers. Local charities should attend to see how the local business community can support you. Our aim is to always use local venues and suppliers in Croydon to run these events, keeping any revenue, after expenses, within our local community. These events will incur a small charge. We will use half of the money raised to fund each event, and half to build up a pot of money over time to give back to local charities. If you have attended our events, you know the power of F2F networking. So please support us again, share the link, bring a client, colleague or guest with you. If you are attending for the first time, do the same share the invite, bring a client, colleague or guest with you. There will be Ice Breakers on hand to help you meet fellow attendees and get the best from the event. Light refreshments will be available.

We held our last event for 2024 attended by over 45 businesses and charities. Thank you to The Venue on Middle St. for hosting us. You have an amazing space that's suitable for many types of events. Big thank you to Tanya Sinclair from @TNK Catering for the amazing Caribbean food. There was a great Christmas vibe and our networking activity encouraged businesses to make new connections. In small groups we answered 3 questions in one word. Describe 2024? What you are looking forward to in 2025? And what does Connecting Croydon mean to you? Our 60 second shouts went to Aimal Gram from Amphlett Lissimore Solicitors and Ada Ibezi from Against Domestic Abuse. It was interesting to hear more about what you do. Good to see Jo Whittaker and Louise Clitherow from Olivia Jean Jewellery who displayed some of their jewellery at the event to inspire Christmas shopping ideas.
