Thanet District Council's Affordable Homes Programme is helping to alleviate the local housing shortage with the redevelopment of four brownfield sites within the established residential areas of Clements Road and Staner Court in Ramsgate, and Tomlin Drive and Dane Valley Arms in Margate. Mike Frazer joined Considine in 2016 from a background in public highway engineering. As a Senior Civil Engineer, Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) he works with our clients and mentors our Civils team with his technical knowledge. In the eight years he has been at Considine, Mike has worked across a wide range of projects, from extensions to multi-million-pound housing developments, schools to industrial facilities. From outline design, to delivering technical drawings and construction phase support. Outside of work Mike has a variety of hobbies including podcasting and Airsoft MilSim. At this years Kent Construction EXPO, Roland hosted a seminar session to share the latest on this massive issue, and was joined by Benjamin Lockwood of Ashford Borough Council and Ben Geering of Quinn Estates. Their audience heard about developments in this ongoing saga including potential changes in farming methodologies and the use of septic tanks to gain mitigation credits. Roland has been instrumental in the Kent construction community's campaign to resolve the halt put on so many developments due to this issue for over 3 years, through the various associations and bodies involved, and he will continue to do so.
