  • Did you know that smoking is the single biggest cause of lung cancer worldwide? Early detection helps to save lives, as by the time symptoms show it’s often harder to treat lung cancer successfully. That's why we have introduced a one-stop lung cancer screening service with the Chest and Lung Group at Cromwell Hospital. Our lung cancer screening programme is designed to detect early-stage lung cancer in patients, before any symptoms begin. The screening includes a consultation, CT scan, review of the patient's case and results at our lung multidisciplinary team meeting, and a follow-up consultation. We offer rapid access to appointments, and the initial consultation and CT scan takes place on the same day at Cromwell Hospital. Our lung cancer screening service is for patients over 55 who are heavy smokers or have done so in the past. Patients can call to make an appointment: 020 7993 4840 Find out more: bit.ly/3Zmwh86
