President Donald Trump has lifted a moratorium on new US licenses to export #LNG, making good on a campaign pledge to rescind the measure enacted by his predecessor. The directive, included in a broad executive order on #energy, orders the Energy Department to resume reviewing applications for new permits. That was halted by former president Joe Biden in January 2024 while his administration studied the #climate, #economic and national #security implications of increasing US exports of the fuel. Crown LNG welcomes this step as it will help emerging #economies around the world with #increased & #affordable gas supply, stabilising the #global market. #Trump #USLNG #Energy #Power U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India Hardeep Singh Puri Donald Trump Jr. https://lnkd.in/eKfaKnAY?

As Crown LNG forges ahead with its reinterpretation of the proven #GBS #technology, it seeks to inject fresh impetus into the LNG #infrastructure landscape. Our GBS solutions for infrastructure challenges in harsh environments are aligned with the ambitious expansion plans & #energy transition goals of the #Indian Government. Under PM Narendra Modi's visionary #leadership, India’s clean energy #growth surged from 140 million gas connections in 2014 to over 300 million in #2024. In a bid to make natural gas a cornerstone of India’s clean energy transition, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) along with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and state governments, is planning a host of measures to #promote its adoption in industries and #commercial establishments. By reducing #emissions by up to 27% compared to petroleum products, natural gas not only cuts #pollution but is also cheaper and more efficient, making it an attractive option for #industries. “Industries transitioning to natural #gas will benefit from measures like relaxed inspection schedules, reduced compliance frequency, and lower regulatory burdens,” said A Ramana Kumar, Member, PNGRB in an interview with ET EnergyWorld. “These steps aim to ease the shift to #cleaner #fuels while ensuring businesses experience fewer disruptions in operations.” Taking into account the existing LNG import facilities, NG pipeline infrastructure, and acceptance of #CNG & #LNG as a #transport fuel, demand for re-gasified LNG would continue to rise. #PNGRB has already authorised 307 City Gas Distribution networks across the country. To enable smooth flow and distribution of natural gas through #national gas #grid, PNGRB has also authorized NG pipelines #network of 33,475 KM, which includes 31,903 KM of common carrier, 792 KM of tie in connectivity, and 780 KM of dedicated pipelines #cleanenergy #IndiaRising #EnergyTransformation #sustainability #CGD MyGov India Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India Hardeep Singh Puri https://lnkd.in/gR_aS6yc

🚢 Insightful developments in #LNG infrastructure development. Crown LNG developed an innovating FSRU system and is derigwter to build 9MPTA offshore facility in Texas. Tailored infrastructure for LNG is the objective. Import terminals to be installed in UK and India. It is impressive to observe right choices made by Swapan Kataria in expanding LNG business, a sector that will become increasingly more flexible. For instance, with the development of LNG bunkering for maritime and growing demand in road transport (I.e. see dynamics of LNG trucks in China), flexible and innovative supply and storage solutions for LNG will be required. At a personal level, it was a pleasure meeting up in Brussels in September at the workshop hosted by Eurogas on US LNG for Europe, an event which I actually initiated together with Art Gelber 🎨

Crown LNG to build a 9 MTPA LNG Facility Offshore Texas before 2029 Norwegian headquartered Crown LNG is racing against time to develop and start construction of a liquefied natural gas export plant in the U.S. before President-elect Donald Trump's second term ends in 2029, its CEO Swapan Kataria said. Crown LNG is planning to build a 9 million metric tons per annum (MTPA) LNG facility offshore Texas from which it hopes to then export the gas to its proposed regasification terminals in India, Vietnam and Scotland, all of which are still in various stages of development. Crown is proposing to use a bottom-fixed, gravity-based structure for its LNG plant to lower costs and reduce its environmental footprint. The company has ruled out locating the plant in Louisiana because it worries about accessing natural gas pipelines over a 25- to 40-year period, and wants to build offshore because it feels the approval process is quicker than on land and will have to meet fewer demands than those of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Kataria said. Crown LNG believes the Maritime Administration (MARAD) is a less challenging regulatory environment that favors getting projects done.

#Trump has promised to reduce regulations to make it easier for #LNG projects to be approved. The U.S. is already the world's largest exporter of the superchilled gas and there are several projects under construction and in the development stage. Crown LNG is working to build a 9 million metric tons per annum (MTPA) LNG facility offshore Texas from which it intends to then export the gas to its proposed regasification terminals in #India, #Vietnam and #Scotland, all of which are still in various stages of development. https://lnkd.in/g8MjbXj3

🇬🇧 🇮🇳 Crown LNG to Acquire Kakinada and Grangemouth LNG Import Terminal Assets Congratulations Swapan Kataria! Crown LNG Holdings has finalized two strategic acquisitions: KGLNG in Kakinada, India, and LNG import terminal assets in Grangemouth, Scotland. The Kakinada project acquisition, valued at $60 million in Crown LNG shares, includes an operating license for a planned LNG import terminal that will operate year-round in harsh weather conditions, supporting India's goal to increase natural gas usage to 15% by 2030. The Grangemouth project, acquired for $25 million in shares from GBTron Lands , aims to enhance UK's energy security, where LNG imports increased 74% from 2021 to 2022. We are in the process of selecting a site for a 10 million tonnes per annum(1.4 billion cubic foot per day) #liquefaction facility in the Gulf of Mexico to supply #gas to our proposed regasification projects in #Scotland and #India. Crown LNG plans to build an export facility entirely outside of the jurisdiction of FERC, “With more and more licenses now being in question under the FERC jurisdiction, I think we have an opportunity that opens up a door for us to take the product from these producers, and they are desperate to sell,” Crown LNG CEO Swapan Kataria told Energy Intelligence at the Gastech #2024 conference in Houston. https://lnkd.in/eyi_4wiN #naturalgas #LNG #energy #terminal #offshore
