We’ve analysed this year’s social search data from TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest to see which beauty buzzword came out on top… along with interviewing our expert buyers to reveal their predictions for 2025. 2024 Trends 🌿Natural Skin Care: with over 13 million Instagram searches alone, consumers are seeking natural ingredients such as plant-base oils, herbs and botanical extracts to nurture their skin and overall health. 💇♀️Rosemary Hair: scalp care is still dominant following the back of the post-covid era and so many continue to incorporate it into their daily rituals as frequent as their shampoo and conditioning routine. Leading the way? Rosemary hair care with 3.2 million social searches. 🥛Milk Fragrances: accumulating 145k social searches, milky perfumes are characterised by their smooth, creamy and soft blend that evokes the feelings of warmth and comfort. 2025 Predictions 😴 Sleep-Efficient Skin Care: overnight treatments offering ‘beauty sleep in a bottle’ are forecasted to reign supreme, offering a satisfying ‘morning shed’ experience. 💄 All Eyes on Lips: elevating lip formulations and shades, brands are tapping into everything from cosmetic technology – such as colour-changing and temperature-reactive lip products – to a statement pout powered by deep hues. 🧘♀️ Sexual Wellness: the line between beauty and sexual wellness will blur further with a growing focus on holistic health. We’ve had a very busy September at Cult Beauty HQ with lots of incredible brands coming in for Education and special treats! We were lucky enough to have the Benefit team came in for a refresher session, talking us through the brand’s bestselling products and showing us their incredible gifting range (including the Gorgeous Grocer Advent Calendar!) just in time for the festive season 🥰 And if that wasn’t enough, the team also treated us to their brow tinting and waxing services, leaving us with gorgeously polished brows!
