A big Innovate UK GBIP thumbs up for Canberra 👍 What an exceptionally busy but incredibly impactful day running (literally at some points! 🏃♀️🏃) between meetings with Australia’s Office of National Intelligence, Australia’s Ambassador for Cyber Affairs & Critical Technology and Canberra Cyber Hub. A huge thank you to @David McGill for convening so many high-level government & security agency represetatives in one room to hear our 9 companies pitch & listen to the UK offering. What an opportunity! And not forgetting a big thank you to Rajiv Shah for facilitating the introduction. Next we received a very warm welcome from Ambassador Brendan Dowling who reinforced that #cybersecurity is of increasing importance for the region and exploring how Australia & the UK can work together. And finally to conclude a hectic day, we headed to Canberra Cyber Hub for a knowledge sharing & networking session between Australian cyber start-ups, academics & researchers. A special thank you to Melissa L., Vicki-Anne Gardiner, Karen Schilling for hosting us! And what a huge pleasure & surprise to see Sheryle Moon FAICD, FAHRI from the American Chamber of Commerce bringing together my two lives between Paris & London 🇫🇷🇬🇧 It’s a small world 🌎 We certainly made the most of our one-day-only in Canberra and gained invaluable insight into the ecosystem from government to diplomacy, B2B & academia.
