Our recent induction event welcomed 20 talented new recruits to our apprentice and trainee programme, marking the beginning of their exciting careers with us.   The induction began with what truly matters - health, safety, and well-being - before moving on to key sessions, including insights into our numerous business sectors, technical processes, and an inspiring Q&A with former apprentices who shared their experiences, advice, and plenty of laughs.   But it didn’t stop there! Over 80 apprentices, mentors, and managers came together to tackle the epic challenges at Ninja Warrior UK in Sheffield. This high-energy activity showcased not only individual determination and strength but also the power of teamwork and mutual support - proving that we’re always Better Together!   We can’t wait to see what the Class of 2024 achieves as they grow, learn, and contribute to making a positive impact. Welcome to Dalkia - here’s to your success and achieving great things together! 🏃♂️💪   #PeopleFirst #BetterTogether #Apprenticeships #FutureTalent

For the second year in a row, volunteers from Dalkia UK collected coins from the moat at the Tower of London’s Traitor’s Gate for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Dalkia UK gives its employees one day a year to do good work in the community and last Thursday – the Facilities team at the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Academy of Arts – collected, sorted and counted 150kg of coins, 10kg more than last year! Stu Brown (Business Unit Director, Dalkia UK and Veteran) expressed his in pride in supporting this year’s Poppy Appeal. He said, ‘It’s quite a change from our day job! It’s also particularly poignant for me, as a Veteran myself and I’m honoured to take part in this. It’s great to think that something good now comes from the once notorious Traitor’s Gate.’ To read more, click here: https://lnkd.in/enaHDH4S #TrustedPartners #RemembranceDay #PoppyAppeal #TowerOfLondon

Making positive impact at Cardiff University At Dalkia, we strive to become a Trusted Partner and put People First in every aspect of our projects and collaboration with our clients. We are proud to announce that Cardiff University has been awarded an excellent 44/45 score by the Considerate Constructors Scheme. This is a true testament to Dalkia’s commitment to health and safety, collaboration and community engagement.    As we continue to champion positive change, we have also collaborated with SuDSPlanter Ltd to deliver a sustainable rain garden planter solution that collects our rainwater from the temporary site office roof via a downpipe into the planter, ‘slowing the flow’ of water generated by our compound and release into the planter. Our team have also made the most of the SuDSPlanter® by growing their own tomato plants and runner beans on-site as part of this new technology! #TrustedPartner #PeopleFirst #Collaboration #ConsiderateConstructor
