Great to see the progress of this much needed social housing development in Ballymoney, which we're pleased to support. Well done to all involved.
Many thanks to the local politicians who joined us in Ballymoney on Friday to see the encouraging progress on our Piper Close development in the town centre. Alpha Housing is partnering with DLL Properties and DB Building Contracts Ltd to provide seven much-needed social homes in the town centre, including five bungalows designed for wheelchair users. The project is transforming what had been a dilapidated eyesore of a brownfield site into a valuable community asset. The £1.8M project is being supported with £1.1M capital funding from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive Social Housing Development Programme. Alpha is providing the balance of funding with the assistance of Danske Bank UK. We were pleased to be joined by the Mayor of Causeway Coast & Glens Ciaran Mc Quillan, along with Colin Crawford MLA, Timothy Gaston MLA, Philip McGuigan MLA and Councillors Jonathan McAuley & Mervyn Storey. New tenants should receive the keys to their beautiful homes by summer 2025.
