Looks like the team didn't delete the memo this time 🥳 so Christmas outfits all round 🙌 All working from home today, so we had a little team huddle to talk about our plans for Christmas and discuss that all important question of who likes turkey and who doesn't. Turns out, the turkey is in luck as non of us are fans 🙌 Reflecting back, this year has seen some exciting changes. Adam (bottom left) joined our team 🎉 and has become a huge creative asset to Design Hive. Adam is one of those people who lives and breathes design. I would say that people like him don't come along that often. He is fascinating to watch and never switches off from it. He's always tinkering around and his mind is always active even when he's clocked off. He's always pushing the boundaries and going above and beyond. Karl (top left) has been promoted to Lead Developer 🎊. When Karl first interviewed, myself and my office manager were so impressed with Karl. He's so professional, always thinks of the customer and Design Hive first. He continuously wants to look at ways of improving services and builds site that we are proud to show off. I would like to say a huge thank you 💕 to my team for all their hard work over the past year. Also, a massive thank you to all our clients who have supported us and keep coming back. We are so grateful to you. We hope everyone has the most wonderful Christmas and New Year. We finish today at 4:30pm and will be back on the 7th January 2025. We look forward to what 2025 brings. Albert Goodman, you do host a great event! 👏 Yesterday, I went along to Aqua Welshback in Bristol. A wonderful venue along the Harbourside. I do love a great networking event, but it's the social side I really enjoy. Someone once said to me that networking is full of people pushing their services or products on to you. Whilst the ultimate long or short term aim, is to hopefully gain more clients, networking is, in my experience, just a place to meet new people and get to know old connections more. For many, it's great to just get out of the norm and helps with their wellbeing. For myself, being part of a small team, running a business, a home and being mum of two, it's always been a place I can socialise on a personal and business level. A chance to relax and switch off. Being with other like-minded business people, has always left me with a great feel good factor. I had a chance to spend some time with Neil Wyatt yesterday. It was lovely to catch up with you. Thankfully, on this occasion Neil, I didn't live up to my Albert Goodman nickname 'Two Meringues Mel 🤭'. Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an Albert Goodman event at The Castle Hotel Taunton. The room was full and had a great atmosphere. It was a pleasure to meet so many new faces.
