We just hit 1 Billion streams! Here's the most important thing anyone looking to start a podcast / youtube channel / show, should know... 1) I started The Diary Of A CEO 7 years ago. For the first 3 years relatively nobody listened - in the last 2 years we gained 95%± of our subscribers and views, in the last 365 days we've gained 50%± of our total subscribers! If you're willing to feel embarrassed, to produce bad work, for nobody to listen and to not be paid to do something for years, you really will surprise yourself - the thing that kept me going despite this, was that I just absolutely loved the process. And that’s really the key: loving the process. Not the results, but the act of showing up every single day, learning, improving, and creating something, even if no one else notices yet. So, if you’re thinking of starting something, here's a good question to ask: "Would I do it even if nobody noticed and nobody paid me?" If the answer is yes, then you should start! Here's the downside; It won't always be easy - you will have to put in a lot of long, lonely hours. You will likely have to work around the clock because your platform is always on. You will have to accept that you will be attacked every day because interviewing a wide range of people from CEO's to subject matter experts will cause huge disagreement - speech is polarising, science is ever-evolving and strong opinions are set in emotion - even the smartest and most qualified people in the world - in the same industry - don't agree on everything. None the less, if you love what you're doing, if you're working with talented people that you really like (Flight Studio), and if you believe what you're doing is important, it'll all be worth it. Thank you to everyone that's part of the DOAC community! Our team are going to continue to fight hard to deliver for you! 👊🏾❤️

Global Partner Manager - Flight Studio (Home to The Diary Of A CEO)

Everyday since joining Flight Studio I've heard mentions (and celebrations) of 1% - "that's a 1%!!" gets said a lot and at first I'm not sure I truly understood the significance, or what counted as a 1%. Why would a 1% gain be so meaningful? Don't we want to see BIG numbers and BIG changes? Well, two reasons (at least). 1. At this company every single one of us does "sweat the small stuff", which sounds unhelpful but they do say "the devil's in the details", don't they? It really is what makes this team so incredible, going even just that tiny bit further to make something more perfect, more interesting, more exciting. Inspiring and motivating. 2. You don't go to the gym once and expect to walk out a pro-athlete (if you do, well, lucky you). Each visit is an improvement on the last, for the most part, and you slowly start to see the compounding effect of your efforts. The same goes for growing in a new role - if you're absolutely amazing from day 1, you're probably in the wrong role and missing the challenges. Every day is a chance to learn, grow and improve even by 1%. So with that, I encourage you to look at all the small (or big) improvements you have made and can make to your work and your life outside! It's all about the journey people. And why not document all of these in a diary? You know we've got one coming for you - THE 1% DIARY 💫 Join the waitlist here - https://lnkd.in/eRivv-Cw And check out their IG for updates - https://lnkd.in/epMgaitb (Please forgive and ignore the tacky visual, this is not my forte but you get the idea)

Distribution Marketing | The Diary of a CEO | Flight Studio

I’ve spent so much time in the past chasing the wrong things. Instant results, gratification, acceptance - chasing an idea of perfection that doesn’t exist. I was obsessed with trying to be the ‘best’ person I could be. And the mental pressure to live up to that was exhausting. Flight Studio really has given me the opportunity to think differently. I’m surrounded by a team who believe in progress over perfection, who wholeheartedly trust the process of 1% improvements. Who simply believe in the power of consistency. And that’s something pretty special to be a part of! So here I am choosing the 1% mindset. To achieve growth in a way that feels much kinder to myself.  We have something pretty special launching here at Flight Studio - read more in the comments 👇

Product Manager & Entrepreneur | Building & Scaling Businesses at Flight Studio - The Diary Of A CEO 🚀

“STOP DREAMING SO BIG” “THAT’S NEVER GOING TO WORK” These are some of the things I heard when starting my first business. I was at University at the time and definitely had moments where I thought ‘Are they right?’. But of course I never let it stop me. However, there was ONE thing I did and still do to that day that meant the ‘dream’ was never too big. It was always going to happen. I made a commitment to myself... Do 1 thing each day to move closer to launching the business. 1 thing a day. That was it. One day it was - buy the domain ✅ The next day - reach out to 5 manufacturers ✅ The next day - organise the photoshoot ✅ 6 months later, all of these daily 1%s compounded and I launched the business. We sold out in less than 24 hours. Won a Global Green Beauty Award!  + Successfully secured grant funding to continue to developing our products. If I’d focused on the huge goal, there’s a chance it would have always felt so far away. But that wasn’t my metric, the metric was - move 1% closer each day. The lesson? Never ever shrink your dreams. But as well as thinking big, the real power comes with starting small.

🚨 IF YOU’RE A CONTENT PRODUCER, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS! 🎯   Are you familiar with YouTube topics? With over 40 topics per episode, it used to take forever to copy and paste them manually... UNTIL I discovered a game-changing solution that revolutionised my workflow! This small 1% improvement made a HUGE difference, saving me so much time! ⏳✨ Here’s how it works:     Step 1 - Use Premiere markers to add your content topics.   Step 2 - Export those markers as a spreadsheet.   Step 3 - Use a ChatGPT prompt to format them correctly (God bless ChatGPT!). And shoutout to Jack Sylvester for turning my prompts into a trained GPT - another 1%!    Step 4 - Now you’ve got your topics ready in the YouTube description! 🎉 All these steps take 1 minute!! It used to be 30 minutes to copy, paste, and manually correct the topics and timestamps. ⏱️ If you’re into finding that 1% improvement - not just at work but in any part of life. Check out the product Flight Studio is about to launch 👀 https://lnkd.in/emZk6pXV And if you want to discover more 1%’s that could transform how you work, check out this page: 🔗📈 https://lnkd.in/edczEkC4

I got it wrong. So many times. People said don’t sweat the small stuff. And I believed them. For a long time, I thought it was a flaw - overthinking, obsessing over every little detail. But I’ve learned it’s not about chasing perfection; it’s about care and a deep rooted want for everything to be that little bit better. It’s about noticing what others might overlook and deciding it's worth the effort. The small stuff isn’t what slows you down - it’s what moves you forward. The small stuff is the 1%s. Testing an assumption. Finding an AI tool that makes things faster and more efficient. Reworking a sentence until it resonates. Taking an extra moment to rethink an idea. But it’s also the simple stuff. Like walking from the station instead of taking the bus. Prepping lunch 1 day a week instead of grabbing it. Swapping 10 minutes of scrolling for 10 minutes of intentional learning. Those tiny tweaks might not seem like much, but they’re where progress happens. Does that always mean success? Definitely not. Progress isn’t a straight line. It’s messy, unpredictable, and full of false starts. Does it mean failure? All the time. It’s getting things wrong, trying again, and figuring it out along the way. It’s in the small, imperfect, messy steps where the real shifts happen. The kind of steps that don’t feel significant at the time but end up changing everything when you look back. It's the 1%s. At Flight Studio, I’m surrounded by people who don’t just see the value in the small stuff - they obsess over it. The kind of details most would miss, they notice. And it’s so inspiring. Now, we’ve got something new coming - something built entirely around the 1%s. Check the comments, you won’t want to miss it 👀

Failure & Experimentation Executive at Flight Studio & The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett 🧪🎙️

What does a ‘Failure & Experimentation Executive’ really do? It’s not all new technologies and huge, ground breaking innovations. (Although, there is still a bit of that). It’s about experimenting fast, failing faster and finding the 1% improvements that your competition is missing. Last week, we experimented with changing the link in our Instagram bio. Instead of leading users to an incredibly detailed, polished landing page with multiple products, we sent them straight to a product page. Simple, and streamlined with one product and a clear add to cart button. The results: this one tiny, 1% experiment, more than DOUBLED our conversions from click throughs during the test period. It wasn’t flashy. It didn’t require months of development. But it worked. It’s a reminder that innovation doesn’t always look like a moonshot project. Sometimes, it’s a shift in perspective, a tweak to a link, or a small pivot in strategy. The key is to embrace experimentation, constantly iterate, and always celebrate the 1% wins. Because over time - those 1%s turn into 100%s. P.S. The key to unlocking 1%'s is in the comments...

Director of Trailers @ Flight Studio including The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett • Sharing Insights on everything Storytelling & Video Marketing 🎭 Previously Edited for Disney, Star Wars, James Bond and SKY 🍿

This is one SIMPLE habit that EVERY single person SHOULD implement into their work… and why! 🚀 It’s crazy to think that when I made my first trailer for The Diary Of A CEO, I used two sound effects… TWO!!! 🤯 Now, well over 200 trailers later… we, on average, incorporate… 🔥 82 unique sound effects 🔥 7-10 BRoll elements built from scratch 🔥 150 individual typed “impact words” And the crazy thing is… I can justify EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! But this is a visual representation of the single greatest habit I incorporated into my career… adding a 1% gain onto every single project! Why? 1. The Compounding Effect - Small, consistent improvements accumulate over time, leading to significant personal and professional growth without needing to take huge steps… which leads too 2. Burnout avoidance - I am a firm believer that a lot of burnout is a result of lack of purpose, and a huge driver of purpose is ownership. The 1% mindset allows you take more responsibility for your own growth. That accountability fuels your purpose. 3. And this is a personal one, but as someone who has often struggled with imposter syndrome… when you can look back on your previous work and see that compounding over time… there is no greater feeling in your career... and it also gives pleasure knwoing I can laugh at my old work 😂 Ultimately, the 1% mindset is a steady, manageable habit that leads to growth making your work more fulfilling and impactful in the long term. If this is a habit you want to adopt… thankfully something exciting is coming our way very soon: https://lnkd.in/eFpY57g3 And if you want to be inspired by the 1% mindset… I highly recommend you follow this page right here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/edczEkC4
