  • Feeling the pinch this month? Our Behavioural Science lead Alex McCluckie has some food for thought which might help you get back on the right financial track🛤️. In this article Alex explores how taking the opposite approach to one of the most successful investment funds of all time (no, really) just might increase our chances of saving a little more - and sticking with it 💷. Read on to find out how what you say – or don’t say – could impact your saving success (a psychological principle which could be applied to any one of your waning new year’s resolutions too…). 🏆. https://ow.ly/lUFo50UHBtw #mrx #marketresearch #marketingresearch #motivation #personalfinance #behaviouralscience

  • ‘Blue Monday’ may have started out as a marketing gimmick by a holiday company in the noughties but, joking aside, it can serve as a gentle reminder to simply check in with yourself . It’s OK to say if you’re not doing OK 💙. That’s why we’ve chosen today to launch our first Partner Podcast on Stress Awareness and Mental Health🎙️. Designed and facilitated by Alex Noden, who is a trained counsellor as well as Manager of our Research Support team, this podcast goes hand in hand with the in-person training that we're currently rolling out business-wide. Both aim to give our people the tools to spot mental health struggles, open up conversations on this topic and also provide ideas on where to access further support. 1 in 4 of us will be affected by mental health issues at some point in our lives and no one should suffer in silence. Knowing the signs to look out for, encouraging and enabling openness, and cultivating a safe space culture, can absolutely be part of the support solution – so let’s get talking (and listening!🦻). #mrx #marketresearch #marketingresearch #bluemonday #mentalhealth #podcast

  • POV: your Creative Team asked you to put your head in a box for fun and promised you the results would be worth it...and they were right! 😉 The lengths we’ll go to for a questionable pun hey! 😆 Thanks to all the good sports, and a couple of Grinches, who got into the festive spirit with this one. It also reaffirmed what we all knew as kids – you can always have fun with the empty cardboard boxes at Christmas!🎁 Wishing all our client, Partners, respondents and suppliers the very best this festive season and a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead in 2025. 🎉 #mrx #marketingresearch #marketresearch #team #teamspirit

  • It's that's time again - our Review of the Year! 🥳 We love putting this together as it’s an opportunity to remind all our Partners of their amazing achievements and how much we've done together 🤗 – which can be easy to lose sight of when you’re knee deep in deadlines!🤪 2024 was full of fantastic DJS stats and, as we love a bit of data, we’ve created a short video to showcase ‘DJS 2024 in numbers’ 📽️🔢. Click to watch below or head to our website to read our full run down of project and Partner highlights from the last 12 months https://lnkd.in/ehBDM3qq. #mrx #marketresearch #reviewoftheyear #reflect #recognition #team

  • We've had full festive vibes today for our 'Christmassy day in the Strines office' 🎄 with Christmas jumpers, tinsel and pizzas a plenty - all thanks to our lovely Social Committee🤗. We also celebrated our fundraising total for 2024 – a whopping £6,708 for Blythe House Hospice, our charity of the year💙. Along with round ups from our Chairman Danny Sims and Managing Director Alasdair Gleed, we also shoehorned in some festive fun; Creative Services managed to convince lots of our partners to stick their head in a cardboard box😆...but you'll have to wait until next week to see the results of that one! 😉 Thanks to Emily Smith for bringing a stall of beautiful Blythe House Snowdog goodies along too - if you're looking for a lovely way to spend an afternoon this Christmas break we highly recommend checking out their Snowdog trail in Buxton ❄️🐶https://lnkd.in/erYNK7Ez #mrx #marketresearch #team #teamspirit #charity #charityoftheyear #festivefun

  • We became aware of White Ribbon UK through our work with South Cambridgeshire District Council; the charity’s core aim is to prevent violence against women and girls by addressing the root causes and promoting education as a route to drive change 🤍. This resonated deeply with our team and struck a personal chord with one of our employee Partners. DJS Research has recently become a White Ribbon Supporter Organisation and Associate Director Julie Hollingsworth has signed up to become our White Ribbon Champion. Julie explains how much this means to her personally: “I feel very passionate about raising awareness of the issues that the White Ribbon stands for and on domestic/post-separation abuse more widely - related to both physical violence and non-physical (e.g. verbal, emotional and economic) abuse, towards both men and women. I’d never heard of the White Ribbon Promise prior to tendering for the research project with South Cambridgeshire District Council, despite following various social media accounts related to issues around domestic abuse. I am glad of the opportunity that working with South Cambridgeshire has provided me, to become a White Ribbon Champion and will do what I can to support and inspire others, and to help make a difference to systems (including the justice/legal system) and organisations (including public bodies and employers) that should/could support victims more than they do currently”. Over the months ahead we’ll be sharing more information internally at DJS Research to raise awareness of the important issues that this charity stands for, as well as information on matters of abuse more widely – for women and for men. We actively encourage any organisation, or individual, to lean in and share information about the important work of the White Ribbon Charity; we are proud to give our support and be part of the movement – education for prevention. #domesticabuse #16days #coercivecontrol #educationforchange #mrx #marketingresearch #marketresearch

Empathetic, everyday language can reinforce trust at EVERY STAGE of the customer journey. Just one finding from the Ofwat and Ofgem joint report ‘Exploring the customer service experiences of #water and #energy customers in vulnerable circumstances’. It highlights key themes we’ve seen emerging in our own research with vulnerable audiences for the utilities sector, including the importance of energy and water companies doing the following: - proactively reaching out to customers and tailoring their services; - ensuring clear, simple and easy customer journeys; - delivering kind and empathetic interactions - maintaining consistent empathetic, everyday language. At DJS Research Ltd we’ve spoken to 1000s of people over the years living with a whole range of vulnerabilities and have delivered actionable research across a diverse range of sectors. The launch of our in-house vulnerability panel, Different Perspectives, earlier this year has provided another key asset for our clients and a direct route to connect with these audiences who are often hard to reach. https://lnkd.in/dD5AsUDB With so much going on in this area right now, I’m looking forward to seeing how much we’ll learn from our panel and our vital research projects with these audiences into 2025. #mrx #marketresearch #marketingresearch #vulnerableaudiences #hardtoreach #vulnerable

  • Sadly there's no collective noun for a group of Santas (should be 'a sack of' surely?) but well done to Mark Byrne, Rahat Imran and Ali Sims for joining the bearded throngs at this weekend's Jingle Bell Jog 🎅, all in aid of Blythe House Hospice💙. And there's more festive fundraising this evening for Ali who's attending one of the infamous Blythe House wreath making events (that our team helped to prep last week!) with a few other DJS faces🎄. Tis the season to dig deep and donate!🤗 https://ow.ly/OT1E50UjSXR. #mrx #marketingresearch #marketresearch #charity #charityoftheyear #jinglebelljog #fundraising #donate #notforprofit

  • Some of our lovely HR & Finance team getting their hands satisfying dirty earlier this week on their annual DJS volunteer day with our charity of the year, Blythe House Hospice 🤗. Lucy, Rahat, Sarah and Jo helped with preparations for forthcoming festive fundraisers, including ‘mossing’ the wreaths for December’s wreath making events which are a sell out every year🎄. You can read Lucy’s account of their rewarding and enjoyable day – creepy crawlies and all 🐛– on our website https://ow.ly/NXkn50UhMTr. Huge thanks to the Blythe House Hospice team for having our gang – and providing gloves for the squeamish😉. #mrx #marketresearch #marketingresearch #charityoftheyear #volunteering #volunteerday #charity Lucy Pawson Sarah Smith Rahat Imran
