A week on from the Document Manager Magazine Awards evening, we're still buzzing. 😀 We'd like to say a big thank you to our customers and everyone who voted for us. It means so much. Also >>> A lot of work has gone into the development, sales and support of Document Manager over more than twenty-five years. So, thank you to everyone at Document Logistix who works front of house or behind the scenes; your contributions have made this double accolade possible. And a big thank you also to our scanning bureau staff who, despite less public exposure, are just as much an important part of our business. Here's wishing everyone a good remainder of this year, and the very best for 2025. For a few more reflections, you can check our recent awards page on our website >>> https://lnkd.in/eCa6upKP Tim Cowell. Dan Wajzner

Document Manager - digital document and data management, automated workflows and compliance software
Document Management Software
Document Manager facilitates digital document and data life-cycle management from capture, through automated workflows, to data retention and deletion. Document Manager enables organisations to implement or enhance digital business processes to manage digitised paper assets, email content, video and any electronic files. The software can be implemented by department or company-wide across multiple sites to give secure access to office-based and hybrid workers. Dashboards, alerts and full management workflow visibility enhance productivity, collaboration and profitability. A web-based admin console enables users to customise dynamic dashboards, and workflows can be designed using simple ‘drag and drop’ functions. Document Manager is focused sharply on regulatory compliance. Security features include access controls, end-to-end encryption, embedded document retention periods, and content redaction functions. Time-stamped system activity reduces the costs and risks associated with audits.

Queen's University Belfast took an innovative approach to enhancing its HR processes. In his latest article, Jason F. recounts the objectives and results of the project, and ponders on fluctuating terms for HR! Before getting into the meat of his subject, Jason makes an interesting observation about his time in the HR sector. "As corporate functions go, HR has fluctuated most when it comes to describing itself. Finance is finance. Marketing is marketing. Although Human Resources (HR) ditched the ‘Personnel’ label some time ago, the profession has never settled on one name. I come across many different constructions, from Human Capital Management to People Operations, and Talent Management to Employee Success. Re-naming reflects the relatively rapid rise in strategic importance of the HR department. In the case of QUB, it was the People and Culture Directorate that identified the need for digitisation in HR." The article covers how, with more than 15,000 job applicants each year, 700 new recruits annually, and around 4,200 staff members to support, the challenges of managing hard-copy files became overwhelming. Glenn Campbell, Head of HR Services at QUB, underscored the importance of the project: "With the growing challenges around legislative compliance in areas such as GDPR and UKVI, this project became not only a desire but a necessity." Our US office was in the vanguard of digital providers that enabled District Attorneys to implement eDiscovery effectively to ensure all parties have full access to case evidence. It's more than 60 years since a landmark case, Brady vs Maryland, established that withholding exculpatory evidence violates a defendant’s constitutional rights. A Brady law violation occurs when the prosecution fails to disclose evidence that is favourable to the accused or material to their defence. Today, using Document Logistix eDiscovery system, District Attorneys can share evidence and monitor that it has been seen prior to a trial in order for the defence to build its best case. A memorable moment in recent years, was the visit of DAs from Texas to speak at our User Group. Hats, boots and, now, highly digitised! The US office also helps police departments with records management. We've just published this page on challenges and successes in law enforcement document management >>> https://lnkd.in/d_qYPdUc If you have any questions, Dan Chiappe and Kim Kuykendall would be pleased to help.
