What A Summit!! 🤩 Yesterday we attended the #GROWSummit Future Horizons Day at the The Royal Institution and it was hands down one of the best founder events of the year. We heard from leaders in urban aviation, handheld robotics and Quantum technology, and even saw some a live demo of Snap’s AR spectacles! 😎😎 The future is bright and it’s exciting to see an emphasis on using tech for good! The difference early detection makes is life-changing. A report from Breast Cancer Now reveals that while 98% of women diagnosed at Stage 1 survive for 5+ years, only 26% survive when diagnosed at Stage 4. But this story can be rewritten. Early detection gives women the chance to live longer, healthier lives. It's been a while but we've working away behind the scenes! Here are a few snippets of what we've been up to at Dotplot: 🌟 We participated in the Panacea Innovation Bootcamp which is a joint MedTech programme run in partnership with the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and Bio-Rad Laboratories. 🚀 We launched a beta test for Dotplot’s app with 50 Dotplotters across the country and received lots of useful (and honest!) feedback which we really appreciate! 🩺 We spoke with seven brilliant clinicians—GPs and breast specialists—to shape the content of Dotplot’s breast health reports. This was a tricky one but we were able to find a good balance between user-friendly and medically useful info to include. 🧪 15 women took part in our usability testing with existing ultrasound devices to help develop our user interaction.
