🍎 Hendon’s first Tiny Orchard is here! 🌳 On December 17th, Hendon welcomed London’s first Tiny Orchard, a vibrant community space created by FUNKIN COCKTAILS | B Corp™, Earthwatch Europe, The Orchard Project, and Barnet Council, with incredible support from the local community. 🌿✨ This Tiny Orchard is more than just fruit trees—it's a hub for nature, learning, and connection. It will: - Grow food and foster new wildlife habitats - Help tackle climate change with a climate-resilient mix of species - Provide a green, healthy space for everyone to enjoy - Part of Earthwatch's Nature in Cities initiative, this orchard is proof that even small actions can make a big difference. 👏 Huge thanks to all who contributed to this inspiring project! 🌱🤝 This World Soil Health day we're celebrating our partnership with Tate & Lyle and Nanjing Agricultural University which has been supporting stevia growers since 2019 to reduce their environmental impact and gain greater economic benefit from production of this in-demand sweetener. Healthy soils play a key role in maintaining biodiversity, improving water quality, and building resilient and sustainable food systems. Learn more about the success of the sustainable stevia programme in Eastern China in a new video from Tate & Lyle: https://lnkd.in/egzF34kp Our input in this partnership forms part of our Farming with Nature programme, which equips farmers and agribusinesses with citizen science tools to collaboratively build robust datasets and drive positive changes in agricultural practices 🚜 Find out more about our Farming with Nature approach in our recently published white paper: https://lnkd.in/e7xSrmci #WorldSoilDay #FarmingWithNature #RegenerativeAgriculture #CitizenSciece

“As rowers, we’re out all hours on rivers like this [the River Cam], and we get to care about them. Almost every single sample we’ve had from the River Cam has been bad or very bad water quality. It has been quite eye-opening for us as river users." 💧🧪 #FreshWaterWatch is our global movement of volunteers who test their local water quality and help us build a picture of freshwater health across the UK. 🙏 Thank you to Susannah Cass, Programme Manager of East Anglia Youth Rowing, and their young people for joining the fight for healthy fresh water! 💙 Double the hope for our rivers by supporting us in the Big Give #ChristmasChallenge this week. Until Tuesday 10 December, all donations will be doubled! ✨ Donate today via the Big Give website 👉 https://lnkd.in/epgTUB9D #CitizenScience #WaterTesting #WaterPollution #SaveOurRivers #BigGive #ChristmasAppeal
