The Behavioural Science Unit at Public Health Wales has released a report on household recycling, showing how a combination of interventions has increased recycling rates from 5.2% to 65.2% over the last two decades. By 2026, most areas will implement four-bin systems for recycling, reducing confusion and making it easier to recycle. This move will eliminate the "postcode lottery" of varying recycling practices and help the UK work towards a circular economy, aiming to recycle 65% of municipal waste by 2035.
