🌳✨ The Dundee local authority is currently working on tree management in the city. Works are ongoing on safely removing trees that are infected with ash dieback. This effort helps keep our community safe and protects the health of our green spaces. Thank you for your support as we work to maintain a healthy environment in Dundee. 🌿💚 For more information on our roadside ash removal services, visit https://bit.ly/3VnECHs #Dundee #TreeManagement #SustainableDundee #treecare #Arboriculture #euroforest

  • Lots of variety in the work lately which is always nice, this time of year always involves lots of running around sorting out seasonal work before it gets too cold. Pictured was a wee job last week in Huntly again with the local community, helping to maintain their churches by removing the saplings and growth around the main tower and surrounding buildings, and root treating everything that couldn’t be removed whole. Amazing how little things like that help a place stay looking neat and cared for, super chuffed to be part of a proactive effort to keep the area looking good ❤️👌.

  • The big green machine has been away on this for a few weeks now, always nice to get a long stretch on the merlo, really gives a better insight into what it can do in the right setting. It is the most versatile of the options we found when machine shopping as it tends to fit into a lot of places and has great outreach, which we tend to use a lot for mechanised dismantling of large, awkward trees. Has been good to unleash the full reach in a less confined setting and see how brutally effective it is at removing trees on what would otherwise be a challenging site though. Helps having such an experienced operator in Clive, the machine is only as good as the guy driving it after a certain point, and it’s not the simplest machine to work, nor the simplest conditions. Experience shows 👍😊.

After completing Stages 1 and 2, we have begun the 3rd and final area of our M90 Balmanno woodland management scheme. Area 1 was a clearfell on a very steep embankment, with Stage 2 a thinnings operation. Stage 3, another thinning, targeting Ash with ADB and clearing the understory. Thanks to PB FORESTRY AND LANDSCAPING LIMITED and Epic Tree Care Ltd for all their assistance. Been an epic venture. #Amey#Highways

      +1
  • I (Elaine) had a prospective client call me a tree hugger, in the negative recently. Took me by suprise honestly, I’ve never identified with the phrase or thought I was particularly “hippy”. But then I really thought about it, and I guess, I do care. I work very hard to make a positive impact on our local trees, areas ecologically… and educate the general public on proper tree care, management and everything related. I don’t just hack lumps off trees without explaining the knock on effects tree owners, and their trees will experience. I took this picture in Aberdeen, Seaton park recently, isn’t it beautiful? As a tree surgery company, if we didn’t like trees and care about what we were doing, work would be much less fun and honestly we would do a terrible job. So I guess we are tree huggers, who knew? 😅👌🤷♀️

  • It has been great meeting a lot of new- and familiar faces at Turriff Trade show this weekend! Lots of good fun seeing everyone’s stalls, chatting machinery and trees, and watching everyone’s mouths fall open when they see the Merlo at it’s full height and realise it can still dismantle trees at that height! Only one day in and there are lots of interesting projects with potential and new friends in the making, thanks for the very warm welcome from everyone at Turriff Show, and the award for the stand! One day left and we are raring to go, see you soon folks ❤️🙌🙌. Elaine & Clive

We are delighted to welcome Epic Tree Care Ltd to the Chamber network! Epic Tree Care is a tree surgery company with a difference. Run by Clive and Elaine from their base in Keith, they work hard at helping you get the best out of your trees, hedges, and overgrown bushes! Elaine said: "There is a difference between hacking at trees and proper tree surgery. So, when we started into business in 2014, we wanted to make a real difference to the standard of tree work in the area! Did you know that taking too much off a tree at once can actually increase its growth speed? Or that certain poor pruning methods can actually make growth both denser and weaker?" Epic’s team care about doing a good job, but also giving you a good solution for not just today but into the long term. With Epic you get honest, qualified advice, efficient and safe work to an excellent standard. They are even SSIP qualified with Alcumus Safe Contractor and on the Moray Trusted Trader scheme, with an awful lot of good reviews to back up their claims. • Do the staff matter when you look for suppliers? Looking through our records recently we have noticed that we are actually a Fair Pay employer- meaning, we pay above the living (not just minimum) wage across the board, and on top of that we have invested in private health care and dental for those employees who wanted it. This is not something we set out to achieve, or looked into any promotion of, because that is not why we do it. We simply value our staff, and pay them accordingly. None of the "games" we have encountered in old workplaces, simply appreciation of staff, their skills and efforts and relevant rewards. Of course, a downside from your point of view to this is we cannot always offer the cheapest prices because of the obvious associated costs. It does however mean we can trust our staff, the team is kind, friendly, very skilled and competent and we hope, also, reasonably happy in their jobs and lives! We may even keep them a while longer than we might otherwise, which is a great bonus from our perspective as fantastic people are hard to find. So, does this matter to you when you are hiring a company??? Thanks in advance folks
