Erda Energy was excited to participate in last week’s idea-sharing session for the Meadowbrook Sustainability Hub. During the event, we shared insights on how buildings in the community could decarbonise their heating using proven technologies and heat networks. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to a great afternoon!🌎🔥
It was a real pleasure to be invited to an idea sharing session last week for the Meadowbrook Sustainability Hub, one of our newest Community Energy Fund (CEF) Stage One projects. The project has used their CEF grant to explore the feasibility of creating an energy sharing network using multiple community buildings on a site in the village of #Dartington in Devon. The project goal is to find out if the organisations on the site can work better and bigger together to deal with the problem of the high cost of energy and meet Net Zero targets. The session brought together trustees of Dartington Recreation Association, representatives from local schools, district and parish councillors, renewable energy companies and children from Dartington CE Primary School Council to share the results of the study and discuss next steps. The event made a great start in engaging the community and communicating the possibilities for working together to heat the buildings more sustainably and cost-effectively, while highlighting both the opportunities and challenges to be considered.
