2024 in pictures 📸 We are signing off the year by sharing some of our favourite moments. A national three peaks hike, company-wide ‘Steps Challenge’, Macmillan Coffee Morning and supporting Military vs Cancer’s Armed Force’s charity rugby event are just some of the ways our colleagues have gone above and beyond to raise awareness and fundraise for important causes. Across the sites, in collaboration with our clients, sub-contractors, supply chain and wider stakeholders, together we continue to deliver projects that create a lasting impact for communities. We thank everyone for their continued support. Finally, we held our inaugural Group Get Together where colleagues gathered to hear more about the journey Esh has been on and what our plans are for the future. And, that future is bright, as we head into 2025 financially sound, with a doubled cash balance, and the largest forward order book in our history. From all of us here at Esh, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Esh Construction has clocked up more than 65,500 hours on site as the team marks one year on site today at Stockton Waterfront Urban Park. The team broke ground on the transformational park - which is seen as a catalyst for regeneration in the town - in December 2023. Esh’s Divisional Director, Steven Garrigan, said: “This project reflects our commitment as a local contractor to create a lasting value for the communities we serve. Through the last 12 months our project team has made great strides in developing this site, while our Social Value team has been working in the local community through a range of volunteering and donation initiatives, while directly engaging students in multiple employability and careers-led workshops. “Stockton is undergoing an extraordinary transformation, and we are proud to be contributing to this journey alongside Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.” Read more about the project and check out imagery from site https://lnkd.in/g_NPuEit Watch how the site has transformed through the last 12 months 👇 NEPO | Ryder Architecture | Billinghurst George & Partners | Tees Valley Combined Authority

Solar hybrid power generators and battery storage units are being trialled across our sites as part of our drive to reduce carbon emissions. These alternative power solutions use sunlight as a power source via an array of solar photovoltaic panels or utilise electricity stored in a battery, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels for sites which are unable to connect to the grid. From April to November 2024, 16 sites have utilised one of these alternative power solutions, and over 150,000 litres of fuel has been saved as a result. This equates to a saving of more than 470 tCO2e – the equivalent of travelling more than 1.6 million miles in an average diesel car. The initiative forms part of our Even Greener strategy as we take steps across the business to reduce our emissions year-on-year. #carbonreduction #EvenGreener
