I came to Canada, I got hired and I got SALES! The last 2 years have given me the most unexpected results and since then, I have learned an important life lesson: Work with honesty and dedication but expect nothing. In 2022, I was in a weird situation. I had just burned all my savings in my attempt to come to Canada while I was mourning the loss of a loved one in my family. My visa was getting delayed, and I had lost my hopes of making it to the West. With everything unexpected, one day, I got an email that said my visa was approved and I could travel soon. This was my first encounter with experiencing something unexpected. I graduated this year and with very little experience in my industry, finding a job felt the most daunting task ever. I came up with structures that could help me narrow down my job search and out of the blue, I began to get interviews early on in my process. I was expecting something that could keep me running but I was then hired by a prestigious organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Lastly, being an artist and a community builder in web3 I was expecting no sales since the important part of being in web3 is to get a deep understanding of the tech and then build in the long run. Unexpectedly, I sold my first 1/1 artwork on SOLANA listed on Exchange Art for 1.5 SOL and 4 editions for 0.2 SOL each. Another result that I never expected. Most times, we expect big things but the life lesson is that expectations hurt and one should build with passion and honesty, things that are in control but should then leave it up to the universe to decide what should come our way. #WebArtists #ArtistOnLinkedIn #CryptoArt #BlockchainArt #Winnipeg #ImmigrantLife
