LONDON HQ ANNOUNCEMENT We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that the new MAEKNIT INC. London HQ will be at Fashion-Enter Ltd/ FashionCapital. Within minutes of meeting Jenny and her team, we knew that our shared values and vision for ‘Fast Slow Fashion’ aligned perfectly. It really was the most ‘no-brainier’ decision we’ve had to make. A more sustainable and ethical fashion industry is only commercially viable at scale when you’re able to beat big-box budget retailers at their own game. Our system affords you all the capabilities of ‘Mr Big’, but with no MOQ barriers, no long lead times and no bad suppliers. Once we’re up and running, you’ll be able to come in and see your product being developed or produced! Harness our 3D Virtual Sampling capabilities. Learn how to knit, program or design knitted product from industry experts. Maeknit x Fashion Enter will have the resources and capabilities to help thousands of budding designers and entrepreneurs. Not sure how the fashion industry works, or nervous about where to start? Don’t worry, we’re here to help. Moral support and guidance is free and on-tap. Let’s talk! Larger more established brands can streamline their processes. Don’t pour critical working capital into buying stock you might end up discounting. Just buy what you need and we’ll replenish within 2-3 weeks if you need more. We’re happy to work with your existing factories once your product has been developed. With over 800 global units in our network, we probably already know them! We’re also in a unique position to be able to harness both ‘cut & sew’ with ‘knitwear’, all under one roof, right here in London, while-u-wait? Can’t wait to combine knitwear with woven/outerwear to develop our first hybrid range. From myself and the Maeknit team, we’d like to thank Jennifer Holloway, Callum Holloway, Beth Davy-Day, Caroline Ash and TJ Hussein for their support, hospitality and enthusiasm.

The past year has been transformative for the fashion and manufacturing sectors, and for us at Fashion-Enter Ltd 👗 👔 , it was a year that pushed boundaries, sparked innovation, and deepened our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. The Shifts That Shaped 2024 2024 saw seismic shifts in the industry, driven by advancements in technology, heightened awareness of sustainability, and the ever-changing consumer landscape. Artificial intelligence redefined design, production, and retail, while local and sustainable manufacturing gained momentum. At Fashion-Enter, we were at the heart of these movements. From expanding our facilities in Leicester and Wales to launching initiatives like Hope-FX and corporate upcycling courses, we witnessed firsthand the appetite for meaningful change. Key Highlights from Our Year + The Launch of the Leicester Fashion Hub - September 2024 marked the opening of our Leicester Fashion Hub, a vibrant space combining education, technology, and manufacturing. + Embracing AI in Manufacturing - We proudly took part in the ASBCI Autumn Conference, showcasing how AI is revolutionising fashion. From optimising patterns to predicting trends, technology allowed us to streamline processes while maintaining craftsmanship. + Celebrating Milestones and Collaboration - 2024 was also a year of celebration, including the 20th anniversary of the LCB Depot in Leicester. Events like these highlighted the strength of community and partnerships in driving the industry forward. + Challenges We Faced - No year is without its challenges, and 2024 tested our resilience. From navigating supply chain disruptions to balancing rising raw material costs, we leaned on our ethos of innovation and adaptability to find solutions. Looking Ahead to 2025 As we move into 2025, we are filled with optimism. This year promises greater opportunities, with the #LeicesterMade Trade Show on April 17th set to be a landmark event for UK manufacturing. It will bring together designers, brands, #retailers, and #manufacturers to foster collaboration and showcase the #sustainable and financial benefits of local #production. 📢 Empowering Creatives with Financial Insights: Thank You, Barclays and Islington Council! On October 30th, our team at FC Designer Workspace had the pleasure of hosting a session with the incredible team from Barclays UK and Islington Council. They shared invaluable insights on the financial challenges that many startups and creatives face, especially those new to the world of business. The Barclays team introduced the "Hacker, Hustler, and Hipster" model, guiding our designers on how to build a balanced team with the right focus areas: tech innovation, business growth, and user-centric design. This model is especially helpful for entrepreneurs navigating the complexities of starting and scaling a business. We were also thrilled to learn more about Barclays Eagle Labs, a powerful network designed to support startups and scaleups at all stages. From co-working spaces and mentorship to growth programs, Eagle Labs is a fantastic resource to help businesses reach their potential. Special highlights included their Female Founder Accelerator program, which provides masterclasses and mentorship specifically designed to support women-led businesses. Initiatives like this are essential for creating an inclusive and balanced entrepreneurial ecosystem. A huge thank you to Sunny Vaidya, Chiara Nieddu, Tsangari Andy, Alistair Drew-Yeates FRSA, and Kristine Agraan from Barclays for sharing their expertise and guidance. And as always, we appreciate the ongoing support of Andrew Paschalis, Local Economy Officer for Finsbury Park Ward & Town Centre. Here’s to continued growth, innovation, and community support! 🌱✨ #CreativeBusiness #StartupSupport #FinancialEmpowerment #BarclaysEagleLabs #FCDesignerWorkspace #FemaleFounders #Entrepreneurship #BusinessGrowth #Mentorship #Islington
Senior Local Economy Officer for Finsbury Park Ward & Town Centre | Inclusive Economy | Community Wealth Building. Business engagement and connecting people across the London Borough of Islington.
Yesterday (30th October) saw the first in a run of events in partnership with Barclays to deliver Access to Finance Workshops across Islington Councils affordable Workspace program. In addition to this, workshops are also being planned for local businesses and community centres/orgs in Finsbury Park that will run far in to 2025. Yesterday's session at FC Designer Workspace on Durham Road was attended by 14 designers of whom many are startups in need of support to get their businesses to the next stage and found great value from the guest speakers who included specialist business relationship managers and the very exciting Barclays Eagle Labs. The overall feedback was positive from the designers/business with one saying they appreciated the opportunity of meeting face-to-face with financial business specialists who could give them answers there and then. From this session, follow-ups are already being organized to provide dedicated business support which without this workshop may have been harder to obtain in such a short space of time. None of this would have been possible without the amazing Kristine Agraan who is an absolute joy to work with. Her dedication to her work and the local community is very evident and without this genuine approach, businesses and residents would not be as receptive as they have been so watch this space for more good work to come!
