🎄🕯️ Celebrating Christmas with our Christian Network! Fieldfisher's Christian Network held its annual Christmas celebration at our London office, uniting our people for an uplifting event filled with carols, reflection, and festive joy. In collaboration with St Helen's Bishopsgate, the gathering highlighted the true essence of Christmas through inspiring music, scripture readings, and a hopeful message delivered by Paul Williams, City Lead at St Helen’s. The event concluded with a traditional Christmas lunch, providing an opportunity for connection and festive fellowship. Meanwhile, our wreath-making workshops continued to spread holiday spirit across the UK. The Hive — a Fieldfisher network which connects people through sports, culture, and social events, community and collaboration — brought Christmas cheer to Birmingham, Manchester, and London, while Belfast kicked off the season in spectacular style. As we celebrate, we embrace the strength found in our diversity. Our individuality shapes us and enhances the richness of our community. 🕎🕯️ Happy Hanukkah — a reminder of the power of light, hope, and resilience. Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, begins at sunset on the 25 December and ends on the 2 January 2025. It celebrates the miracle of a small jar of oil burning for eight days after the Jewish Maccabees reclaimed the desecrated Temple in 167 BCE. The traditions of Hanukkah include lighting the hanukkiah (a nine-branched menorah), enjoying delicious foods like latkes and sufganiyot, and playing dreidel. We are excited to announce the winner of the $3,000 Fieldfisher seed funding through the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge. Social Shifters invites young entrepreneurs from around the world to apply for funding for their social and environmental innovations. After a rigorous process of virtual judging, coaching, and pitching, we are proud to reveal that the winner of the Fieldfisher-funded grant is Invicta. Based in Germany and led by Eden Tadesse, Invicta addresses the global refugee crisis by connecting displaced youth to career development opportunities through a digital platform, empowering them economically.
