Announcing our Global Innovation Challenge 2024 Winners supported by Gen! 🎉 🌟1st Place: Dimma Muhammed Mawejje from Mawejje Creations Mawejje Creations tackles the environmental impact of the fashion industry by transforming banana waste and textile scraps into sustainable fabrics, helping reduce carbon emissions and fast fashion waste. 🌟1st Place: Andrew Sahr Norma from Greentech Bioenergy Greentech Bioenergy tackles organic waste management challenges in Sierra Leone by transforming waste into sustainable energy solutions, helping improve waste management and energy access. 🌟1st Place: Crystal Ojotule Ali from Stitch by Stitch Foundation Stitch by Stitch Foundation tackles textile waste and unemployment by upcycling fabric into new garments and providing sewing skills training, helping marginalized communities build livelihoods. 🌟1st Place: Matías Stefano from Hidro Green Patagonia Hidro Green Patagonia tackles the issue of unsustainable food distribution by implementing a renewable energy-based hydroponic system that produces fresh vegetables locally, helping reduce waste and improve access to nutritious food for the community.
