HOW IMPORTANT IS WELLNESS AS AN ATHLETE? 🤔 Many athletes need to log basic measurements first thing in the morning to give coaches an indication of their general bodily performance. There’s not really an easy way to do this outside of professional sport, where many factors are measured using complex systems and recorded by coaches, team doctors and physios. Factors such as sleep quality, body soreness and stress levels are often overlooked but are all absolutely FUNDAMENTAL to athletic performance 🏃♂️ After working closely with British Army Rugby, we have developed a ‘Wellness Journal’ section for higher level teams wishing to track numerous metrics of bodily function and performance, avoiding the use of a complicated spreadsheet that many athletes will usually access via smartphone. This information can then be: ✅ Accessed immediately by coaches and assessors to see if any action needs to be taken with regards to physio, extended rest periods and lifestyle alterations off the pitch ✅ Viewed alongside both player and coach assessments to look for any correlation with match-day performance ✅ Stored within the app for athletes to compare week-on-week A huge thanks to Tim Osman and Stuart Morgan-Scott MSc IEng MIMechE for helping us to develop this! I have been working with fiibac over the last few months to provide a version for Sales. We learned a huge amount from elite sport about the power of feedback. It was previously INCREDIBLY difficult (yes shouting!) to provide active 2 way feedback in a convenient way for Sales, Pre-sales and account management. Most of the apps I have come across are terrible to use "in the field". Clunky and burdensome. This is no longer the case with fiibac. Within a couple of minutes you can provide regular feedback to the entire sales team. What does this do for your business? It creates an inclusive coaching support for your sales team. When done regularly, let's say weekly (remember this takes a couple of minutes) you achieve a number of things: 1. Step by step improvements in team and individual performance 2. Transparency and trust through active 2-way engagement 3. A documented and auditable record of what has happened during the year. Salesleadership can give feedback to the sales team, and the sales team can record their own opinion of their performance. You can then discuss any differences and areas for improvement on a regular basis. Common ground. We all dislike the annual (daft and actually counterproductive) appraisal process. Use fiibac to make this a frequent part of your sales process. Happier informed staff perform better. If you want to offer schools / players structured feedback and allow easy access to the digital data to track performance, then contact us. You could always spend hours on google sheets!! or do nothing of course.
