Providing 24/7 surge relief to civil and military authorities in times of national crisis.

About us

The First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (PRVC), founded in 1907, is a unique, quasi-military organisation and charity with an illustrious past. Our members served with distinction in the First World War, assisting the British, Belgian and French Armies. ln the Second World War, some 6,000 served with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and Auxiliary Territorial service as agents, drivers, coders, signallers and support staff. Today, this all-female Corps of volunteers is still an essential part of the UK's emergency response capability. Members, who are not paid for the service they provide, train every week and are on call 24/7 to provide rapid response multi-faceted surge relief to civil and military organisations in times of emergency. 2021 winner of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
