Zero Emissions. Total Solution.
About us
First Hydrogen is fast becoming the leading designer and manufacturer of zero-emission, long-range hydrogen-powered utility vehicles. Harnessing clean hydrogen fuel, we enable logistics and transport businesses across the UK, EU and North America to transition to sustainable and reliable zero-emissions vehicles. Our team of world-renowned experts is developing a complete solution to provide innovative hydrogen-powered vehicles, refuelling technology and hydrogen fuel supply, making the switch from fossil fuels easy and affordable. Hydrogen-powered vehicles are an appealing alternative to electric vehicles, with longer distance ranges, significantly faster refuelling and the ability to transport heavier payloads. With less demand on the national grid, hydrogen is increasingly attracting investment interest from governments and the private sector to further develop infrastructure.

What's stopping the deployment of hydrogen transport in the UK? Our Chief Commercial Officer, Allan Rushforth was asked this very question at the recent Utility Week Live event. Here's the answer... 📈 Availability This should improve over the next couple of years as production scales and demand grows, which will also reduce price per kg 📝 Absence of Government Policy The UK lacks the same commitment and policy related to hydrogen deployment in transport and refuelling infrastructure as we have seen in the EU and North America. 🧠 Mindset The UK has been more comfortable ‘building ships, digging coal or making cars rather than delivering an energy transition’, which requires more contemporary skills, policy and approach such as partnership and collaboration #hydrogenadoption #UKenergy #hydrogen #energypolicy #transport

How suitable is hydrogen transport for different industrial applications? This was one of the questions we received during a recent panel at Utility Week Live and here's the answer.... Often fleet vehicles used by utility companies require: 🛣 Longer range 🏋♀️ Heavier payload 🔌 Power take-off to drive tools etc. 🚚 Towing Hydrogen can help operators with these more demanding duty cycles switch to zero emission transport. Furthermore, many utility businesses already have "skin in the game" when it comes to hydrogen. When they are using hydrogen elsewhere in operations, perhaps in material handling machinery, non-road going mobile machinery, HGVs or for other commercial applications. With hydrogen already on site, it makes sense to use H2 fuel to power other commercial vehicles, such as LCVs, for operational simplicity. #zeroemission #hydrogen #fleetmanager #transportoperator #utilities #energy #UWL24 #UtilityWeekLive
