National Apprenticeship Week: Colleague Spotlight At Flogas, we’re proud to support our people at every stage of their careers—whether they’re just starting out or looking to develop new skills. This National Apprenticeship Week, we’re celebrating two colleagues who are using apprenticeships to grow and succeed. Meet Stephen and Bea, two of our colleagues who are using apprenticeships to grow professionally and personally at Flogas. Stephen, Regional Sales Manager & Leadership Apprentice After 16 years at Flogas, Stephen saw an apprenticeship as the perfect way to refine his skills and make a bigger impact. 💬 “I knew I had more to offer, and this apprenticeship has given me fresh perspectives and new tools I can pass on to my team. It’s hard work, but the rewards are worth it.” Beatrice Torresi, HR Admin Apprentice At just 18, Beatrice took the leap into her first full-time role, choosing an apprenticeship over university to gain hands-on experience in HR. 💬 “I’ve matured so much in just a few months and now have a clear vision for my future. Meet Michael and Amanda, two of our team members who are embracing apprenticeships to enhance their skills and further their careers. Michael – IT Service Desk Manager With years of leadership experience, Michael wanted to gain a formal qualification—so he took on an Operational Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship in 2023. 💬 “One of the biggest benefits has been learning more about myself as a manager. It’s helped me identify areas to improve, which has had a positive impact on my team.” Amanda – Lead Administrator After nine years at Flogas, Amanda saw an apprenticeship as the perfect step toward leadership. 💬 “It’s helped me develop my time management and people skills, especially when taking on new responsibilities like managing the reception team at head office.” Their advice? Go for it! RED Weather Warning in Scotland: Severe Conditions Due to Storm Eowyn The Met Office has issued a red warning for extreme winds in parts of Scotland, alongside yellow warnings for heavy rain and strong gusts across the UK caused by Storm Eowyn. 🌪️ Winds up to 80mph and potential flooding are expected, causing significant disruption. Due to these conditions, deliveries in affected areas may be delayed. We appreciate your understanding during this time. If you're a Flogas LPG customer, here’s how you can prepare: ✅ Ensure your tank or cylinders are accessible for deliveries. ✅ Clear any obstructions to help our drivers reach you safely. ✅ If there’s a risk of damage, shut off your gas supply using the valve on your tank. Make sure you know where the valve is located in advance. ✅ Never anchor or attach objects to your gas tank, as this can cause damage or create a safety hazard. Your safety is our priority.
