One year, 200 prisoners completed our food education programmes, our food served to 500 prisoners and our work delivered in 7 prisons! Recap an amazing year with us below 💫 🧑🏽🍳 January: We kicked off a brand new cookery programme at HMP Stafford where 25 men spent 2 weeks at a time in the kitchen with us learning how to cook. 🥘 February: Our first round of recipes developed for HMP Woodhill were served to our Food Reps in a prison tasting, before hitting the menu. 👑 March: We visited Buckingham Palace and had our work recognised by Queen Camilla during a special reception. 🥩 April: One of our brilliant former graduates from HMP East Sutton Park was released and continued to thrive in her butchery role at The Ginger Pig. 📰 May: Continuing to raise awareness and highlight good practice in The Guardian. 🥒 June: Food Educator Kerry kicked off our wing cookery programme at HMP Manchester where we reached 48 men. 🐝 July: Our first cohort completed month 1 of cooking, growing and beekeeping at HMP Stoke Heath. 🎨 August: FBB’s charity tea towel launches! 📖 September: We distributed over 1000 copies of our FBB Prison Wellbeing Guide. 🎥 October: We filmed our brand new Prison Food Education Programme. 🥟 November: Head of Food Education Nat cooked up a storm with staff and prisoners at HMP Bristol. 🍫 We ended the year on a festive baking high thanks to Food Educator Helz at HMP Downview.
