Drew Campbell, CISSN and Seiji Aoyagi from NiHPRO showcased a new ingredient for delicious-tasting flavoured protein powders, beverages, and snacks. Laura Contin from European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance focussed on sports and active nutrition, discussing how to navigate the policy, political and regulatory landscape. On Day 2, Mohammed Hamoud, Ph.D. from the Culinary Arts Commission, وزارة الثقافة Ministry of Culture built on his lunchtime address on day 1 by hosting a roundtable that delved further into the International Food Atlas. Discover the highlights so far from Day 1 at Food Matters Live Manchester! The day kicked off with main stage sessions covering key food and drink content across sustainable sourcing and positive nutrition. The sustainable sourcing programme focussed on topics like regenerative agriculture whilst the nutrition programme included discussions on trends driving the nutrition sector, ingredients supporting healthy ageing and a session on understanding the evidence base behind NiHPRO protein with Drew Campbell, CISSN and Seiji Aoyagi. So far, the roundtable programme has seen Ulrick & Short, NiHPRO and Humane Society International share their thoughts on key topics such as sourcing sustainable ingredients, formulating for active nutrition and equipping foodservice for plant-based future with European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance joining this afternoon.
