“Bullying and Young People” – An Emotional and Insightful Session 💙 On Monday, I had the privilege of hosting a powerful Balancing Acts session through Forging People on the topic of Bullying & Young People. This was a free, impactful webinar featuring two incredible guest experts: - Paula Timms, CEO of Kidscape 🛡️ - Helen Taylor-Brimson, Behaviour Change Expert & Therapist 🧠 Together, we tackled the tough but crucial subject of bullying — diving into the personal, professional, and societal ways we can prevent and address it. The insights shared were practical, heartfelt, and needed now more than ever. We explored: 🔹 Understanding Bullying and its effects on mental health 🔹 How to provide Empathy and Support to those affected 🔹 The vital Role of Education in fostering anti-bullying cultures 🔹 The Long-term Impact of bullying on mental health 🔹 Communication Strategies for parents, teachers, and young people 🔹 Empowering Young People to build resilience and stand up against bullying 🔹 The importance of Community Involvement in anti-bullying efforts The conversations and engagement during the session were moving and eye-opening. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of delivering a special edition of the Forging People Find Your Voice: Empowering People Leaders to Celebrate Success & Step Up to 2025! for the CIPD. Massive thanks to Christine Holding for being such a fantastic host and for making the session run so smoothly! As we wind down 2024, it was a brilliant opportunity to reflect on successes, share stories, and prep for the challenges and opportunities ahead in 2025. This session was all about empowering People Leaders to communicate with clarity, authenticity, and confidence – helping them connect more deeply with their teams and lead with impact. What a day on Monday at Windsor Academy Trust! 🙌 Zoe Thompson and I had the pleasure of delivering a full day of sessions for the fantastic team at Windsor Academy Trust as part of their Away Day and Development Day through my business Forging People🔥 In the morning, we kicked things off with ‘Find Your Voice!’ – helping staff step into their confidence, discover their authentic voices, and communicate with impact. We explored The Evolving Role of PAs, EAs, VAs & Office Managers – a session designed to equip administrative professionals with the insights and strategies needed to thrive in today’s demanding professional landscape. Lucy’s wealth of knowledge and passion for championing these roles made the session truly impactful. We covered everything from mastering influence and career progression to wellbeing, resilience, and the power of strategic thinking. The feedback and engagement we received during the session highlighted just how crucial these topics are to those working in executive support roles. Hugely enjoyed my first Christmas After Dinner Speaking Gig of 2024 yesterday for my wonderful friend Philippa Constable & her amazing networks We Mean Biz & Women Mean Biz at Leigh Court nr #Bristol. It was such a pleasure to see SO many faces that I know, to meet SO many new ones, enjoy a tasty Christmas Dinner & witness the singing waiters doing their thing!
