About us

FPM was established in 1973 as a privately owned family business. Following the sale of FPM to a public company in 2013, FPM has now returned to private ownership and is once again embracing the family culture that established its reputation as a successful and caring contractor. FPM has been delivering a range of high quality services to the Social Housing Sector for over 40 years. We’re immensely proud of our long heritage and the reputation of the FPM name. We employ more than 200 people throughout East Anglia and the South East. We are proud to be a small to medium sized business and want to offer an alternative solution to the large players in this market and specifically not compete against them. Everyday we work in people’s homes, neighbourhoods and communities, impacting the lives of 40,000 customers. That is why we place customers and communities at the very centre of our company. We are passionate about delivering an excellent service to our clients and customers, working together to strengthen relationships and making a positive impact on residents.

  • Delivered on Time! Great to visit our maintenance contract at Kent and Canterbury Hospital today. Our team successfully completed a fast-track project to deliver various FRA works including replacement fire doors, fire stopping, new lighting and signage. The scheme was completed in 4 weeks, as promised. The project is part of our 3-year term maintenance contract with East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust, managed by the Trust’s subsidiary 2gether Support Solutions. A massive thank you to our project team - Peter Webley, Paul Kemp and David Roche.

  • We are supporting World Mental Health day. Foster is committed to both the physical and mental health of our employees. We are proud to be accredited to ISO45003, for managing psychosocial risk within an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system based on ISO45001. • Double Contract Success! We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have secured two contract wins with our valued client South Kesteven District Council (SKDC). The first is for roofing services and the second is to provide disabled adaptations. Both contracts are for works to the Council’s housing stock and have been let for an initial period of two years, and an option to extend for a further two. The contracts will be delivered by our team in Grantham. We have worked with SKDC for many years and are so pleased to be able to extend our presence in the area.

  • Double Framework Success! We are delighted to announce that we have won places on two major frameworks. The first is Procurement for Housing’s (PfH) planned maintenance framework for kitchens and bathrooms in the East region. The 4-year deal is our fourth framework success with PfH. PfH delivers complete, whole house services that encompass not just frameworks, but consultancy, technology and dynamic purchasing systems; all of which allow its members to achieve step-change improvements through a combined approach of delivering immediate cost savings at the same time as driving insightful long-term benefits. The second is CHIC’s kitchen and bathrooms framework, which is also a 4-year term. CHIC is a collaborative, not for profit, member owned and governed consortium that delivers compliant procurement solutions and commercial support to their members in partnership with the supply chain. We are so pleased to have secured places with these market leading procurement consortiums.

  • Awareness of Prostate Cancer Prostate Cancer UK advises that 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, or your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk. Prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured. Foster is highlighting awareness of this and playing our part by sponsoring pop-up PSA testing facilities in our communities. Big thanks to the GFCT Prostate Cancer Awareness Charity who provided staff to carry out the tests for our first session at the Meadows Community Centre in Cambridge. Our CEO was inspired to drive this social value wellbeing initiative, having recently visited Spain, where a PSA testing facility was operating at a local supermarket, with a group of friends. The volunteers providing the service were encouraging men to pop in and get tested. They duly did and it literally saved one of his friends life! We look forward to providing more pop-up tests soon.
