I’ve stayed and dined at Brach Paris several times, and it never disappoints when it comes to luxury hospitality. As a fan of the brand, I’m especially excited about their new opening in Madrid! Evok Hôtels Collection’s bold approach to #hotel design is unmistakable. Huge congratulations to Emmanuel Sauvage, a key figure in French luxury hospitality. Opened in December, Brach Madrid is a major redevelopment designed by Philippe STARCK in the distinct style of the French 5-star brand BRACH. I like how each space, material, and colour reflects the spirit of 1920s and 1930s Spain. The hotel has 59 rooms and suites, plus amenities like a rooftop, restaurant, event spaces, a sports club with a pool, and even a pâtisserie. It’s shaping up to be a space that’s both stylish and welcoming. Rooms start from 570$ (470£) in December. Those days are gone when I used to try to save money at conferences by staying in crap #hotels! These days, I make sure I have the best, most comfortable, and inspiring stays, even if I have to commute a bit further! Recently, at the Athens Resort conference, I stayed at the newly opened Ace Hotel and Swim Club! Nestled on the sun-kissed Athens Riviera, this stunning retreat marks Ace’s debut in Greece and its latest addition to the lifestyle hospitality scene. In collaboration with French design studio ciguë, Ace Hotel / Atelier Ace has transformed a 1970s coastal landmark into a 120-room haven that blends Greek Modernism with the nostalgic charm of Mediterranean seaside resorts. Where to start? There’s just so much great design in this #hotel! Following a €150 million rebuild of the historic Grand Hotel Astoria, the much-anticipated Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels opened on 9 December 2024. The mood and tone feel elegant, modern, and refined — a perfect balance of heritage and contemporary style. Truly inspiring work! This Belle Époque landmark has been completely reimagined. It now offers 126 beautifully designed rooms, suites, and a subterranean spa. This launch followed closely behind The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, which recently opened on New York’s Upper East Side. I shared a post about it last Friday (take a look if you missed it!). With two flagship openings in quick succession, Corinthia Hotels continues to build itself as a leader in luxury hospitality. Over the next decade, they plan to expand to 30 hotels and resorts worldwide, and I am sure it will be a great success! Rooms start from 1,100€ (911£) in December. Some of the #best places are the ones you stumble upon yourself, but it’s always good to have a few suggestions before you go. While beautifully designed hotels seem to open every year, 2024 feels like a moment in which some of the best have finally arrived. Casa Loma Beach Hotel, completed in summer 2024, makes the list of the year’s most anticipated openings!   The hotel underwent a $15 million transformation by Electric Bowery, Ltd. which revamped its 70 rooms, suites, public spaces, and event venues. I found that Laguna Beach already has its fair share of “coastal chic” hotels, which might explain why Marc & Rose reimagined what was formerly the Inn at Laguna Beach with a bohemian spirit and seaside energy.
