Dear Medical Publications Professionals, We welcome your feedback on a brief (less than 7 minute) survey which is intended to collect, compare, and contrast information relative to industry perspectives on freelance medical writing. We are asking freelance medical writers as well as agency and pharmaceutical/biotechnology professionals who might partner with medical writing freelancers for their perspectives on a variety of similar questions around the current situation and future possibilities of freelance medical writing support. Understanding the needs and ways of working of those who are medical writing freelancers versus those who contract them should enhance relationships between these two groups and maximize value for all concerned. The results of the survey will be summarized in an abstract submitted to the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (May 2025). There were 229 respondents in total! 🎉 As planned, we have submitted an abstract based on the survey results to an upcoming congress.
