It’s been a pleasure to support the incredible work done at the room at the inn, and we will continue our efforts to always bring significant positive impact to the communities in which we operate. These backpacks are more than just supplies—they’re a lifeline, providing safety and comfort to Warrington’s most vulnerable residents as they face harsh winter conditions while sleeping rough. 📢 Special shoutout to Warrington Worldwide and Mix56 Radio for covering this initiative. 🎄 Santa & His Trusty Elf Bring Christmas Cheer! 🎅 Our very own MD, Ian Preston, donned the big red suit and brought a sleigh-load of festive spirit to kick off the week at the Mission Christmas - Dash for Kids charity event! Teaming up with Mick Gilroy, our Head of Procurement (or should we say “Head of Elf & Safety” for the day 😉), the dynamic duo spread Christmas cheer and brought their A-game to the challenge. 🏆 Highlights of the day: Joint 1st place in the scavenger hunt—turns out, Santa and his elf are quite the dream team! 🏁 Filling a trolley with £380 worth of toys to help bring smiles to Manchester kids this Christmas. 🎁 Best Dressed Trophy for Mick, proving you’re never too cool to rock an elf costume! ✨ 📹 Keep an eye out for some behind-the-scenes footage, including a first-person view of Ian’s Santa dash—it’s a ho-ho-hilarious must-see! These backpacks, filled with essentials such as first aid kits, thermal blankets, and LED torches, are designed to provide vital support to rough sleepers during the harsh winter months. 🎒 This initiative is part of our commitment to creating positive change in every community we work with, as the main contractor for both the Warrington Pyramid Arts Centre Redevelopment Project & the Grafton Centre Residential Conversion Project this represents the first part of our donation of 50 survival packs across Warrington & Trafford, and just one of the way we are driving change in these communities. At Gallaway, we go beyond constructing buildings—we’re dedicated to building stronger, more compassionate communities. This donation is one our many engagements Gallaway with the Room at the Inn shelter, we’ve helped clean up excess material waste at the shelter using our skips, restoring it full capacity, as well as Gallaway will be donating Christmas decorations for their holiday festivities and providing 40 meals for homeless guests at the shelters Christmas dinner. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the launch event for the Warrington & Vale Royal College Construction and Engineering Academy, where over 1,000 students are taking their first steps toward apprenticeships. This is an inspiring milestone in supporting young people as they begin their career journeys. At Gallaway Construction Limited, we’re proud to play a key role in this partnership, offering work experience and site visits for T-level students. Our Director, Renee Preston contributes as a member of the steering committee, helping shape the program’s direction and current with ciriculum. This collaboration, alongside the efforts of other stakeholders, is about more than career opportunities—it’s about fostering community cohesion and creating a brighter future for all involved. Gallaway Construction are proud to announce that we will be participating in Construction Q Ltd and Omnia Plumbing & Heating Ltd’s ‘Mission Christmas – Dash for Kids’ fundraising event on behalf of Cash for Kids Manchester Charity. The fundraiser is aiming to raise a massive £50,000 to combat poverty and give disadvantaged Manchester children food & presents over the holiday season. This fundraiser is taking place from the 9th of Dec to the 13th of Dec. We are aiming to raise over £1000 to contribute towards this goal. Our Office Manager, Siobhan Robinson, recently completed a 4-week programme at HMP Forest Bank Prison, through Gallaway's work with Key4Life. This programme sees us continue our work with our Prison Leaver Scheme, advocating for greater inclusion of ex-offenders in the industry through training, mentorship & employability support. We have previously placed several prison leavers into employment through our supply chain at our Dryclough manor site, and supporting the acquisition of necessary qualifications to work on-site in construction. This programme is incredibly important to successful reintegration of marginalised group, at higher risk of falling into unemployment & homelessness. Gallaway supports prison leavers seeking to transform their lives through construction and will continue to actively engage through this programme. Gallaway will be taking on several prison leavers from HMP Forest bank on our sites for short-term placements & continuing our mentorship efforts. We're proud to play a role in transforming lives and creating positive social impact through our commitment to the Prison Leaver Scheme. Date Confirmed! Gallaway Construction is proud to announce we will be donating 25 winter survival backpacks to Room At The Inn homeless shelter in Warrington on the 4th of December. With support from our friends at Streetwize, these backpacks have been thoughtfully prepared to support rough sleepers in the Warrington community, especially during the harsh winter months. Each one includes essential items such as first aid kits, LED torches, thermal blankets, and more—items designed to provide warmth, safety, and care.
