A fair summary of 2024 in the linked article below ⬇️. The strength of the UK games industry is not only the creativity and innovation of the games that are created but also the resilience of those within. What we also have are association bodies such as TIGA and Ukie pushing for the best development environment and championing the efforts and achievements of developers and publishers here in the UK. Their activities not only help to show, evidence and contribute to the successes going on within the UK, they are actively working on creating the developers of the future through educational activities and initiatives. This can only be good news for not only the future of games development in the UK but also for guiding, discovering and developing the future stars of the software industry on a wider level. Saturday morning is not a time for statistics but we all know of the significant contribution that games make to the UK economy and that must be preserved and built upon further. And on another level, we've got the likes of Game Republic who do amazing work in the north of England through so many activities, all focused on games development and nurturing and facilitating opportunities for developers. 2024 has been a tough one for sure but 2025 and brighter things are just around the corner. https://lnkd.in/e2R9dx7s
