Growth Capital proudly served as advisor to Radical Storage in their closing of a $7 million Series A fundraising round 🚀   Radical Storage is a global platform connecting travelers with local businesses for temporary #luggagestorage. With 9,000+ storage points across 1,000 cities in 70 countries, it helps tourists find convenient storage while providing businesses with extra income and new customers.   Co-leads on the deal are CDP Venture Capital SGR through its Digital Transition fund, Azimut Italia through Azimut Eltif Venture Capital - ALIcrowd III fund, and Opes Italia Sicaf. Finint Investments SGR also participated, along with current shareholder Vertis SGR, through its funds Vertis Venture 2 Scaleup and Vertis Venture 4 Scaleup Lazio. Showcasing the Q3-24 Venture Capital Report in #ReggioEmilia 📊💡   Developed in collaboration with Italian Tech Alliance, our latest report covers key insights and data on #venturecapital trends in Italy, Europe, and beyond.   For the second presentation of the report, we chose #EmiliaRomagna, a region known for its dynamic startup scene and the birthplace of several Italian success stories including #Yoox, #Musixmatch, #Pizzabo, and #Balsamiq. In 2023, Emilia Romagna stood out from the national trend, achieving results comparable to 2021 and surpassing 2022, with €37 million invested across 23 rounds. In just the first three quarters of 2024, Italian #VC rounds have raised €1.195B, already in line with the full year 2023 📈   This is just one of the insights that emerged from our Q3-24 VC Report, developed in collaboration with Italian Tech Alliance. Check out some of the other findings from our analysis:   Key points on Q3-24 • €524 million raised in 70 #rounds in Q3, an increase from the €226 million raised in 69 rounds in Q2 • 13 #SeriesA rounds, 6 #SeriesB rounds, 2 #SeriesC rounds and 11 #exits • Sectors: #SmartCity with the most rounds and the most amount raised • Verticals: AI & ML with the most rounds and #CleanTech with the most amount raised   Key points on the year to date • €1.108 billion raised in 246 rounds, an increase from the €791 million raised in 232 rounds last year at this time • 36 Series A rounds, 10 Series B rounds, 6 Series C rounds and 31 exits • Sectors: #Software with the most rounds and Smart City with the most amount raised • Verticals: #AI & #ML with the most rounds and CleanTech with the most amount raised   Outlook  ➡️As previously forecasted, the European ecosystem has bottomed out, with a number of changes predicted: more balanced bargaining power between #investors and #founders, more frequent flat and down rounds, more common Buy & Build strategies, and more diverse VC rounds ➡️IPO activity is poised to remain below historical levels in both Italy and Europe   “In terms of amount invested, Q3-24 in Italy was the best quarter of the last two years and the highest ever recorded if we exclude mega rounds. The total invested is already in line with than the entire 2023, thanks to the increase in late-stage rounds, including three mega rounds. For 2024, we predict a total amount between €1.4 and €1.7 billion, with the number of rounds remaining in line with 2023.
