The results of Girlguiding's 2024 Girls' Attitudes Survey were published last month, and the insights are both eye-opening and a wake-up call. 🌍 This year’s findings reveal a stark picture of the pressures, barriers, and discrimination faced by girls and young women across the UK, highlighting issues with mental health, safety, equality, and confidence. Key statistics show that many young women are struggling to feel safe, valued, and optimistic about their future. From rising concerns about online harassment to feeling unheard in their communities, girls are facing unprecedented challenges. Need more volunteers in your area? Come as a team to find out about the 4 steps to recruitment success and make a plan of action for your district or division. This 1 day training on Saturday 23 November 2024, in Kings Lynn, is free to attend and travel expenses will be paid for. It's open to any volunteer with an interest or role in recruiting and welcoming volunteers. The topics covered are planning, running a recruitment drive for girls and adults, welcoming volunteers and what to do on GO. Book your space at bit.ly/3sOUQhh. If you are unable to attend the face to face day then this will be run as three online sessions on Mondays in January and February.
