I had a fantastic experience this morning thanks to Glasgow City Heritage Trust & GO-WRIGHT LTD with a tour of their program of works at Kent Road at Charing Cross. Removing render and allowing the original sandstone to breathe as well as replacing the lead gutters, ensuring no further water ingress for decades to come. Reinstating our built heritage. How to do things properly. Fantastic.

Update from our ongoing Cemetary Wall restoration works at Kilwinning Abbey Churchyard for North Ayrshire Council. The hessian is essential in the cold weather to ensure the lime mortar doesn’t dry out too quickly and also to protect from frost. This simple step ensures proper curing that can withstand the test of time. #stonemasonry #restoration #construction #stonework #craftmanship
