2024 has been a year of tremendous growth—personally and professionally. One full year flew by, and it feels like just yesterday that Himanshu and I were discussing our vision to start GoDiverse. Since then, it's been a rollercoaster ride. If you asked me, "Would I change anything if I could?" I'd say, "Hell no!" With the lows, we experienced so many highs, and I'm so grateful for 2024 and excited for 2025! Launching a solution that changes how diverse suppliers are discovered in the UK is nothing short of a dream. A massive thank you to the efforts of my team, without whom this never would have been possible- Himanshu, Josep, Akshay, Rohan, Ananya, Jagmeet, Khushal, Anmol and Mahak. Is the London Tube truly accessible for those with #disabilities? 🤔 To avoid stairs/escalators while changing tube lines, I had to navigate to the opposite end of the station - change two lifts, walk an extra 10 minutes, tap out of the ticket barriers, re-enter from another side, and then was told to walk even more if I wanted to take the lift. This is where I gave up! I risked it and took the escalator! Why couldn't I take the escalator at the beginning? I have no disabilities but I had a lot of luggage with me and didn't want to risk falling or hurting others. Here, I still had the option to risk it and take the escalator, and it's not really life-altering for me. But this made me think - what about the people in wheelchairs? What about those with disabilities who have no other choice? This was at the London Bridge Underground - one of the prominent #UK tube stations which is theoretically disability friendly. However, the ground reality seems different.
