🩸 Help Bridge the Gap in Blood Donations 🩸 In the UK, 15,000 people live with sickle cell, and over 300 babies are born with the condition each year. This inherited blood disorder causes misshapen red blood cells, leading to extreme pain (crisis), infections, and blocked blood flow. Many patients rely on blood transfusions, especially Ro subtype blood, which is 10 times more common in people of African and Caribbean descent. However, only 2% of donors have this rare subtype, creating a critical shortage. Your blood could save lives. Register to donate today and make a difference. 💉❤️ The NHS Give Blood app is the quickest way to browse available appointments, book in real-time and find out what your blood group is. We’re excited to share a special moment from our #FutureLink initiative—a VR recreation of a Ugandan home visited by our CEO and project team. This home, like many others, doubles as a makeshift GP surgery, where dedicated village healthcare volunteers provide critical, lifesaving care to their communities. At the heart of FutureLink is our mission to make healthcare education more accessible in low-income countries 🌍 . By empowering local teams, we’re helping to combat deadly diseases like malaria, which alone claims up to 100,000 lives in Uganda every year. With our technology, we’re equipping healthcare teams with the skills they need to fight back and save lives. Stay tuned as we share more about how our technology is driving positive change. 🎥 Watch the video for a closer look at the real-life inspiration behind this VR experience—and swipe to see our team in the actual home! #FutureLink #VirtualReality #SocialImpact #HealthcareInnovation #MalariaPrevention #GlobalHealth #EmpoweringCommunities
