  • Our co-founder and CEO Louise Hill is, quite literally, going the extra mile (well, 1,000km but who’s counting 🥵) this #InternationalWomensDay to make a positive difference to the lives of women and girls in India. Please support in any way you can - either with a donation or a like and a share to spread the word for this fantastic challenge 🙏 #GoLouise ❤️

Do something different this year for International Women's Day, I thought. Do something that MAKES change happen rather than talking about it. I checked, and last year I was invited to over 20 events during the week of IWD! I was asked to speak, be on a panel, join networking events, and go to dinners & breakfasts - all very flattering and all great ways of raising awareness of the changes that still need to happen - but NOT actually doing something practical to effect change. This year? I'm joining over 50 female founders, driving rickshaws more than 1000km across India from Chennai to Goa. We'll be making a lot of noise, getting a lot of attention on social media and raising a lot of money to make a positive change in the lives of Indian women and girls. It's our way of making a difference, breaking the cycles of poverty and providing opportunities for brighter, empowered futures. On IWD, if all goes to plan we will be mid-way. We're driving 1,088km in 6 days. Yes, I have bought an inflatable cushion (and a Whizzer from fellow female founder Zoë Chapman) Anyone who knows me knows I believe actions speak louder than words. So - I'm unashamedly asking for YOUR action - get your wallets out and sponsor us (link below) 👇 https://lnkd.in/e5hFj2NP Any corporates who'd like to be part of this, with your logos all over the rickshaws and lots of airtime on social media, comment below and I'll send you the full sponsorship pack. You need to move fast - the last date for rickshaw-branding is 1st Feb! Be part of doing something practical this IWD! An amazing challenge organised by the unstoppable Emma Sayle of Killing Kittens and Frankie James of Ideas Fest & The Great British Entrepreneur Awards. #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay #femalefounders #entrepreneurs #GoHenry

  • New Year, new petition, new voices, new Government to persuade that financial education needs to be made compulsory in all schools*💪 Please take two minutes to sign Youth MP, Cameron Holt MYP’s petition. As we've said before, young people want to learn about money in school and what better place to start than that ✍️ * We know this petition is calling for financial education to be made compulsory in just secondary schools. Our position on extending this to all primary schools remains the same but getting it taught in all secondary schools would be half the battle won 🥇 https://lnkd.in/exuzyeUb #makemoneycount #curriculumreview #financialeducation

  • Yesss 🥳 A nice surprise to kick-off what we hope will be a year of change for financial education in schools in England 🤞🏻 We'll take this as a positive sign that financial education is front of mind with this Government and make sure as many people as possible have seen our Manifesto recommending how to deliver money lessons in all schools from primary age 💪 Watch this space 👀 #makemoneycount #financialeducation #lifeskillsforkids #curriculumreview

Well, we didn't see that coming 👀 Last week, the Government published a response to the former Education Select Committee’s inquiry into strengthening Financial Education in schools. The report - which I gave written and oral evidence to - was published on the day the snap election was called so our worry was that it would disappear into the archives 😅 While the Government's response remains noncommittal, the fact they took the time to respond to it (they are not required to) and said they "will consider the report’s findings and recommendations carefully as we go forward with the delivery of our reform programmes" is music to our ears 🎶 There's a debate in parliament led by Jerome Mayhew on Financial Education today and we'll be listening in carefully so we can follow up with our manifesto and keep pushing on this slightly open door 🚪 Let's go 2025 🎉 #financialeducation #educationselectcommittee #lifeskillsforkids #makemoneycount #curriculumreview https://lnkd.in/emZSFi4c

  • Our CEO, Louise Hill, kick-started the New Year with a visit to the House of Lords yesterday for a meeting with Lord Kulveer Ranger to discuss the importance of teaching financial education from a young age 💪 We'll be taking his advice firmly on board and shouting so everyone at the back can hear: financial education is a key life skill that needs to be taught in all schools from primary age - let’s #makemoneycount 📣 #curriculumreview #financialeducation #lifeskillsforkids

I paid my first visit of 2025 to the House of Lords yesterday to continue to drum up support for financial education to be made a compulsory in ALL schools from primary age 🥁 Lord Kulveer Ranger was my first willing 'victim' with his takeaway advice being 'to make as much noise as possible' 📢 I don't need to be told twice! Thank you for your time, Lord Ranger - a really great meeting to kick-start the year. #financialeducation #lifeskillsforkids #curriculumreview #makemoneycount

As part of our push to create brighter futures for the next generation, we were excited to deliver a lesson on ‘How to become an Entrepreneur’ at No.10 Downing Street a few weeks ago to over 30 amazing Year 5 school children from a Primary School in Wokingham ❤️ Because being smart with money is more than just maths 💪 As a lot of our teaching is done via our parent and child app, we don’t get to deliver lessons to children in person often and what a treat it was. The kids were so engaged and really got stuck into the session, where they identified problems in their community, school, or everyday life that they wanted to solve for, and then formed a plan for how they could address them 💡 This was the start of their business idea, which they then had to present back to our very own Dragons, Co-Founder and CEO of GoHenry, Louise Hill and Varun Chandra, special adviser to the Prime Minister 🐉 Congratulations to all of the children who came up with incredible ideas in just 60 minutes from AI teachers and portable phone chargers powered by body heat to invisible umbrellas, self-write paper and teddies to help you sleep and wake up 🧸 ☔ ✍ 📱 🎒 A big thank you to Number 10 for letting us take part in this special day and to the Prime Minister for making a surprise visit ✨ #Lessonsat10 #financialeducation #lifeskillsforkids #moneylessons #entrepreneurship

What does Gen Alpha want to learn about in school? That’s what the Financial Times set out to discover with our help a few weeks ago. We organised a discussion with some of our wonderful young customers and their parents, plus our co-founder and CEO, Louise Hill, and it turns out that, unsurprisingly, kids and teens want more financial education in the classroom. 💷📚 Thanks to Claer Barrett for the wonderful piece and for yet again highlighting this important issue, including a mention of TISA UK’s Financial Education Council’s call for the Government to make financial education compulsory in ALL schools. We hope the Government takes note as they now work through the responses to the Curriculum Review. 🙏 The curriculum doesn’t add up. It’s time to #makemoneycount. https://lnkd.in/eNt8i8Jp

A little later than originally planned, but last night we officially launched our Financial Education Manifesto with a parliament reception in the House of Commons ✨ While the snap election put paid to our event plans pre-summer, the new timings fell into place with the Government’s upcoming Curriculum Review providing the perfect platform to call for real change 💪 If the Government is serious about focusing on equipping the next generation with life skills and breaking down barriers, then financial education has to be top of the list 🥇 84% of kids and teens think it’s equally or more important than core subjects like Maths, English and Science, while 68% of 18-year-olds are worried about leaving school without any money skills 💔 So, during Money and Pensions Service's Talk Money Week, if you’re going to #DoOneThing, let that one thing be pushing for financial education to be made compulsory in all schools starting from primary age by responding to the Curriculum Review ✍ The curriculum doesn’t add up. It’s time to #makemoneycount Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend our event last night, in particular to our guest speakers Louise Hill Olamide Majekodunmi and our host Gagan Mohindra. It really does take a village so support is everything 🙏 #curriculumreview #lifeskills #genalpha #genz #financialeducation #levellingup

💰 #DoOneThing this Talk Money Week! 💰 As Talk Money Week kicks off today, this year, we’re embracing its theme of "Do One Thing". Why talk about money? Because children’s money habits are formed by the age of seven! Discussing money helps children build the skills they need for a secure future. So, if you do one thing this week, have a conversation about money at home. Check out our blog below which includes some easy ways to do this, whether that’s how to broach budgeting or helping kids understand the concept of delayed gratification. https://lnkd.in/epZDUxwc Money and Pensions Service #TalkMoneyWeek #FinancialLiteracy #FinancialEducation
