About us
Established in 1987 by Donald Gow, Gow’s Lybster Ltd remains a family firm, based in the North of Scotland. Having established a reputation for quality and service within the nuclear industry, Gow’s has expanded to over 30 staff and provides design/draughting, steel fabrication, machining and installation services to a variety of industries and multinationals. As a family run business, it is important to us that we provide our clients with the best of service delivery while maintaining our technical capability to meet the most complex tasks. We presently ensure that all costs are clarified and discrepancies are highlighted but are working towards providing a fully open book service to our clients. Project costs from supplier quotes through administration process and communication are clearly held with each job, providing clients with a case history from tender to sign off.

Gow’s managing director Wullie Robertson was delighted to be invited by NRS to attend Dounreay’s Decommissioning Excellence Awards on Friday night, after one of our ongoing projects between Gow's, NRS & Sellafield was nominated for the Collaboration award. We were delighted that the Flask Furniture project won the category, this bolsters the joint effort between the three organizations to design, manufacture and deliver a housing and transport system for the DFR Flask Furniture project. Gow’s would also like to congratulate the other finalists, where multiple departments and organizations have worked together seamlessly, producing creativity, innovation, and decommissioning excellence!
