Yesterday, GPF Lewis celebrated 18 years of trading! 🎊   Since 2006, the company has continued to grow and evolve but none of this would have been possible without our highly skilled and dedicated employees, wonderful clients and host of excellent consultants and suppliers who support us across a range of disciplines.   Thanks to this whole team we have been able to maintain our absolute commitment to delivering the most challenging projects on time, on budget and to the highest possible standards.   There have of course been numerous challenges, but as a team we have always overcome them and in many cases transform them into opportunities.    Thank you to everyone who has been part of this amazing journey so far - here’s to the next 18 years!

Recently Completed - Keeling House The project was born out of a need to bring aspects of this iconic 1950’s Grade II  listed building up to standards in line with current building regulations. The scope of works consisted of the replacement of the external timber cladding to the drying rooms which are situated on the balconies to each floor with a new non-combustible system. Also on the sixteenth floor there are four rooftop ‘pods’ which were added onto the building some time after the original construction. Working closely with AWW Architects and Anstey Horne team, the pods were stripped of their original combustible finishes, redesigned and refurbished in order to maintain the current aesthetics, whilst providing a compliant non-combustible solution. Also at roof level, we completely re-paved the roof terraces, and raised the existing balustrades to meet current regulations. Further to above, we also re-roofed the existing reception and introduced a man-safe system to facilitate future maintenance, and repaired all existing balustrade to the four wings over sixteen floors to ensure the safety of residents moving forward.

World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October. This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities. Here at GPF Lewis we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health and we promote several schemes to promote positive wellbeing. We have our own Mental Health First Aiders who are trained to spot the signs of mental ill health and to provide initial support to colleagues who need assistance. #worldmentalhealthday #workplace #wellbeing
