This is Ben Geddes As a Camera Assistant and Operator, Ben has been working with Graded over the last two years... And he really is one of the team. - It's only when you start working in a team that you realise how much you really need them. 4+ years ago when I started out as a solo videographer, I tried to juggle all the hats, and be in every place at once. Then you start working with a team and you think, how did I ever do all that before. There's that cheesy phrase, "teamwork makes the dreamwork"... And yes, it's properly naff. But it's true. Having good people around you pushes you to create better work, to collaborate constructively with one another, and to learn how to become a better filmmakers in the process. This also bleeds into office work too I think. Working remote is great. But sometimes it's nice to be next to someone and talk about something, come up with a solution, or run through the options. That's not so easy when you're separated by zoom or the 'network'. - Any business owner out there who has brought on employees, or regularly works with freelancers to support aspects of their business will surely know what value they bring. It’s been a busy few months at HQ as we draw a close on a Christmas feature we’ve been producing with M&M Film. Now it’s back to the content world - juggling a whole host of promos, theatre videos and brand films!
Producing a Christmas movie in March couldnt feel stranger… Pulling down decorations, and dusting driveways with snow, only to realise that it’s Easter! 🐣 Over the last few months I’ve been a little distant from LinkedIn… It’s been a crazy few months… We started prep in January, and wrapped the film at the start of April…. And my goodness time flies!
