Meet the Team! We are delighted to introduce Ollie, one of the newest additions to our team as an Architectural Assistant. Ollie recently graduated with First Class Honours in Architecture (BSc) from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. He is now pursuing his Master of Architecture and Part II qualification while simultaneously gaining valuable practice experience at Grainge. Originally from Dorchester, Ollie relocated to Exeter attracted by the opportunity to work at an exciting practice while embracing his passion for the outdoors and surfing at local beaches. Beyond work, he enjoys DIY projects, traveling, and spending time in his self-converted campervan. We're glad to have him on board! #meettheteam #graingearchitects

Proud to have contributed to two recent projects for Exeter College, starting with ‘@ thirty-four’ – a single-storey extension to the restaurant in the College’s Laurence Building. This project included an expanded pop-up study space and a refurbished staff changing and locker area. Our team’s involvement covered everything from interior design and colour selection to acting as Lead Consultant, ensuring detailed client requirements were integrated with Clarkebond's structural engineering and Services Design Solution (SDS) M&E specifications. We also undertook the CDM and Building Regulations Principal Designer roles. The LD/A Unit is taking shape! Fantastic to see progress on site for the Learning Disability / Autism Unit in Dawlish. Following the erection of steel frame in June and roofing works well underway earlier this month, stud partitions are now being installed to bring each individual room design to life. The LD/A Unit is an innovative new mental healthcare facility that will soon be providing specialist care for adults with a learning disability and /or autism. We’re looking forward to seeing the internal finishes start to be installed very soon! Our team is growing! We're excited to welcome Megan to our team as an Architectural Assistant! Megan joined us this summer after completing her Part 1 degree at the Glasgow School of Art. She has developed a strong foundation in architectural principles through her studies and is passionate about sustainability and community engagement—key themes she explored extensively during her time at university. Megan is particularly interested in the adaptive re-use of buildings, retrofitting, and sustainable materials, and she’s eager to see projects through from concept sketches to fully realized buildings. Outside of architecture, Megan enjoys cycling and horse riding, bringing energy and a fresh perspective to our team. Welcome, Megan!
