📊 No one can have missed the sense of urgency in the National Energy System Operator (NESO)'s comprehensive Clean Power 2030 analysis.   🔌 Alongside loads more wind and solar, the UK will need an expanded grid and of course:   ⚡ Energy Storage - the analysis sees battery capacity increase from 5GW in 2023 to 23-27GW in 2030. Long-duration energy storage (LDES) will also be key and grows from 3GW in 2023 to 5-8GW in the pathways.   💡 Bold Action - to deliver first-of-a-kind clean dispatchable technologies, such as hydrogen to power.   🍏 None of this will be easy, but we would like to think that Gravitricity Ltd's technology - both our H2FlexiStore hydrogen storage and fast response GraviStore LDES - will have a role to play! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eqz69SKH   Department for Energy Security and Net Zero | Innovate UK | National Gas | Ofgem
