National Manufacturing Day provided an opportunity for students interested in a career in engineering to visit two Lincolnshire manufacturers. The Year 10 and 11 students, from Haven High Academy in Boston and Lincoln University Technical College, visited drainage engineers Mastenbroek Ltd near Boston and Guttridge Ltd - A Mitchells Company in Pinchbeck near Spalding. Artificial intelligence took centre stage at our annual conference on 7th November, and next week there's a chance to learn more about AI and how innovative technologies can encourage growth. Tech for Growth is an event at Mosaic Digital Hub in Lincoln which will show delegates how AI and digital tools can offer quick-win solutions for knowledge sharing and productivity within teams. Speakers from The Coder’s Guild will also dive into strategies for setting up sustainable success, backed by insights on government funding to support your goals. At our annual conference we were pleased to welcome James Pinchbeck, Chief Marketing Officer at Streets Chartered Accountants, to launch our new Innovation Routemap. Developed by the LEP and the University of Lincoln, the routemap sets out a new approach to accelerating innovation-led growth across Greater Lincolnshire. It aims to create an environment where problem solving and creative thinking thrives, and where a culture of innovation permeates businesses of all sizes and sectors. The objective is to increase the capacity of Greater Lincolnshire to innovate, ensuring that more businesses can engage with and benefit from innovative practices and technologies.
